Arnold Jackson (British Army Officer)
Brigadier General Arnold Nugent Strode Strode-Jackson, (5 April 1891 – 13 November 1972) was a British athlete, British Army officer, and a barrister. He was the winner of the 1500 m at the 1912 Summer Olympics, in what was hailed at the time as "the greatest race ever run". This is a list of characters from the NBC and ABC sitcom ''Diff'rent Strokes''. Main characters table Phillip Drummond Phillip Drummond was portrayed by Conrad Bain. He is a friendly, wealthy white widower, who runs ''Trans-Allied, Incorporated.'' He was born December 3, 1931, in Manhattan, New York. (This made him Conrad Bain's junior by eight years.) Phillip has a daughter, Kimberly, and two adopted African American sons, Willis and his younger brother Arnold Jackson. He also has an eccentric elder sister named Sophia (played by Dody Goodman). Arnold and Willis' mother, Lucy Jackson (portrayed by Todd Bridges' real-life mother), worked as a housekeeper for the Drummonds years ago; her death-bed wish was that Phillip would take care of her two sons. In the series pilot, Phillip welcomes Arnold and Willis into his home. Arnold Kenneth Jackson (21 June 1903 – 31 May 1971) was an English cricketer. Jackson was a right-handed batsman who bowled right-arm fast-medium. He was born at Edgbaston, Warwickshire. Jackson made two first-class appearances for Warwickshire against Nottinghamshire at Trent Bridge, Nottingham in 1928, and Kent at the Mitchells and Butlers' Ground, Birmingham in 1931. Jackson had little success in these two matches, scoring a total of 5 runs and bowling a total of fifteen wicketless overs. He died at Halstenbek, Schleswig-Holstein, West Germany on 31 May 1971.
