Arndt Bause
Arndt Bause (30 November 1936 – 11 February 2003) was a German composer of popular songs. Arndt Bause produced more than 1350 dance music melodies, many of which became "hits", which meant that he had a decisive influence on the music scene in East Germany for this genre. Many of his compositions have acquired "Evergreen" status. Life Arndt Bause was born in Leipzig, the fourth of the recorded children of Werner Bause, an accountant, and his wife Emma. For several years, starting in 1948, Arndt Bause was made to learn the piano: by 1955 he had been captivated by music in general and Boogie-woogie in particular. He made progress as a self taught musician and started to appear in several bands, both as a pianist and as an accordionist. Between 1960 and 1963 he was also taking trombone lessons. Adolf Arndt (12 March 1904 – 13 February 1974) was a German politician of the Social Democratic Party of Germany, Social Democratic Party (SPD) and former member of the German Bundestag. Life Born in Königsberg as the son of the Law professor ''Gustav Adolf Arndt'', he moved to Berlin very early with his family. There, he passed his Abitur at the Gymnasium Philippinum Marburg. Then, Arndt studied Law, Economics and Philosophy at the Humboldt University of Berlin, University of Berlin and the University of Marburg. After passing his second examination and Doctorate, promotion in Marburg in 1927, he worked as a lawyer in the famous law firm of Prof. Dr. Max Alsberg. Ernst Arndt (3 February 1861 – ) was a German Jewish stage and film actor notable for his later career in Austria. Life Arndt was born in Magdeburg, Kingdom of Prussia. From 1910 he was a member of the Burgretheater ensemble in Vienna. He also made occasional appearances in supporting roles in films. On 13 March 1931, he was made an Honorary Citizen of Vienna. On 10 July 1942, at the age of 81, he was deported to the Theresienstadt Ghetto, and from there on 23 September of the same year to Treblinka extermination camp, where he is presumed to have been murdered shortly afterward. Ernst Moritz Arndt
Ernst Moritz Arndt (26 December 1769 – 29 January 1860) was a German nationalist historian, writer and poet. Early in his life, he fought for the abolition of serfdom, later against Napoleonic dominance over Germany. Arndt had to flee to Sweden for some time due to his anti-French positions. He is one of the main founders of German nationalism during the Napoleonic wars and the 19th century movement for German unification. After the Carlsbad Decrees, the forces of the restoration counted him as a demagogue. Arndt played an important role for the early national and liberal Burschenschaft movement and for the unification movement, and his song " Was ist des Deutschen Vaterland?" acted as an unofficial German national anthem. Richard Lee Arndt (born March 12, 1944) is a former professional American football defensive tackle in the National Football League (NFL). He played four seasons with the Pittsburgh Steelers. Born and raised in northern Idaho, Arndt graduated from Sandpoint High School in 1962 and played college football at Stanford and Idaho. A future pick in the 1966 NFL draft, he was selected in fifth round (77th overall) by the Los Angeles Rams, but stayed in college and turned pro after the 1966 season. The Rams traded the rights to Arndt along with quarterback Ron Smith and a second round draft pick to the Green Bay Packers for running back Tom Moore. Denis Leroy Arndt (February 23, 1939 – March 25, 2025) was an American actor, best known for his starring role as Alex Priest in the play '' Heisenberg'' for which he earned a 2017 Tony Award nomination for Best Actor in a Play. Life and career Denis Arndt served in the Vietnam War as a United States Army helicopter pilot, earning a Purple Heart and Commendation Medal. After the war, Arndt flew helicopters in Alaska for several years before completing a degree at the University of Washington. Charles (Charlie) Arndt (born c. 1967) is a retired U.S. soccer goalkeeper who was the 1988 ISAA Goalkeeper of the Year. He spent two seasons in the American Professional Soccer League and is currently the Furman University goalkeeper coach. Player Arndt graduated from John F.
