Linoleum, sometimes shortened to lino, is a floor covering made from materials such as solidified linseed oil (linoxyn), pine resin, ground cork dust, sawdust, and mineral fillers such as calcium carbonate, most commonly on a burlap or canvas backing. The Armstrong Cork Company (formerly of Armstrong World Industries) was a Cork (material), cork manufacturer located at 2349 Railroad Street in the Strip District, Pittsburgh, Strip District neighborhood of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Fitted carpet, also wall-to-wall carpet, is a carpet intended to cover a floor entirely. Carpet over 4 meters in length is usually installed with the use of a power-stretcher (tubed or tubeless).
