Armenia In The Eurovision Song Contest 2007
Armenia was represented at the Eurovision Song Contest 2007 with the song "Anytime You Need", composed by Hayko, Hayk Hakobyan, with lyrics by Karen Kavaleryan, and performed by Hakobyan himself under his stage name Hayko. The Armenian participating broadcaster, Public Television of Armenia (AMPTV), selected its entry through the national final ''Evrotesil 2007''. The national final and consisted of three shows: two semi-finals and a final. Ten entries competed in each semi-final with three from each semi-final alongside a wildcard qualifying to compete in the final on 25 February 2007. "Anytime You Need" performed by Hayko was selected by a professional jury as the winner. Armenia In The Eurovision Song Contest
Armenia has been represented at the Eurovision Song Contest 17 times since making its debut in , when André became the first participant representing Armenia and was the first singer from the Caucasus region to compete at Eurovision. Siranush Hrachyayi Harutyunyan (; born 7 January 1987), known professionally as Sirusho (), is an Armenian singer and songwriter. She received her first award when she was nine years old for her song "Lusabats". Sirusho's first studio album, ''Sirusho'', was released in 2000 followed by the second album ''Sheram'' in 2005. Hayk Borisi "Hayko" Hakobyan (; 25 August 1973 – 29 September 2021) was an Armenian singer and songwriter. Biography Hayko was born on 25 August 1973 in Yerevan, Armenia (then part of the Soviet Union). He studied at Yerevan Secondary School No. 170, then in Secondary School No. 32 named after Hovhannes Tumanyan. In 1987, he graduated from the Yerkhani Chukhachyan Music School and was admitted to R.
