Aristarchos 2.3 M Telescope Project
The Aristarchos 2.3 m Telescope is a Ritchey-Chrétien telescope at the Chelmos Observatory on Mount Chelmos, Greece. It is the largest telescope in the country and it had its first light test in 2005. It is operated by the Institute for Astronomy, Astrophysics, Space Applications and Remote Sensing of the National Observatory of Athens. Exoplanet
An exoplanet or extrasolar planet is a planet outside the Solar System. The first confirmed detection of an exoplanet was in 1992 around a pulsar, and the first detection around a main-sequence star was in 1995. The Kryoneri Observatory (Greek: Αστεροσκοπείο Κρυονερίου), also known as the Kryoneri Astronomical Station (Αστρονομικός Σταθμός Κρυονερίου), is an astronomical observatory in Corinthia, Greece, operated by the IAASARS research institute of the National Observatory of Athens.
