The Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly or Andhra Pradesh Śāsana Sabha is the lower house of the Andhra Pradesh Legislature. The Legislative Assembly consists of 175 members which are elected by adult universal suffrage under the first-past-the-post system. Karumuri Venkata Nageswara Rao (born 2 October 1964) is the minister for Civil Supplies and consumer affairs in Andhra Pradesh government. He is Member of the Legislative Assembly of the Indian state of Andhra Pradesh, representing Tanuku. He is a member of the YSR Congress party. He started his political career in Congress Party, he was General Secretary of Andhra Pradesh Congress Committee from 2009 to 2014. Telugu Desam Party
The Telugu Desam Party (; TDP) is an Indian regional political party operating in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana at the state and central level. Since its founding by N. T. Rama Rao (often referred to as NTR) on 29 March 1982, the party has focused on supporting Telugu speakers. Since 1995, NTR's son-in-law, N. Chandrababu Naidu, has led the party. The TDP currently holds three Lok Sabha seats, one Rajya Sabha seat, and is the main opposition party in both houses of Andhra Pradesh's legislature.
