Arctic Race Of Norway
The Arctic Race of Norway is an annual multiple stage bicycle race held in northern Norway. The first edition was in 2013, from 8 August to 11 August, and lasted for four days. The organising partners are Amaury Sport Organisation (ASO) and Arctic Race of Norway (AS). The race is an official UCI-sponsored event, and has been placed as part of the Europe Tour. The first two editions were rated as 2.1 events. From 2015 it was rated as a 2.HC event. The race became part of the new UCI ProSeries The UCI ProSeries is the second tier men's elite road bicycle racer, road cycling tour. It was inaugurated in 2020 UCI ProSeries, 2020. The 2017 Arctic Race of Norway is a four-stage Road bicycle racing#Stage races, cycling stage race taking place in Norway between 10 and 13 August. It is the fifth edition of the Arctic Race of Norway and is rated as a 2.HC event as part of the UCI Europe Tour. Race schedule Teams 21 teams were invited to take part in the race. Five of these were UCI WorldTeams; 12 were UCI Professional Continental teams; four were UCI Continental teams. Each team was allowed to enter six riders, three teams only entered five, therefore the peloton at the start of the race was made up of 123 riders. 2015 Arctic Race Of Norway
The 2015 Arctic Race of Norway was a four-stage Road bicycle racing#Stage races, cycling stage race that took place in Norway between 13 and 16 August. It was the third edition of the Arctic Race of Norway and is rated as a 2.HC event as part of the UCI Europe Tour. The race is the northernmost race in the 2015 men's cycling calendar. The champion of the 2014 Arctic Race of Norway, 2014 edition was Steven Kruijswijk, though he was not present to defend his title. The race was won by Rein Taaramäe () on the final stage, ahead of Silvan Dillier () and Ilnur Zakarin (), after the three riders broke away from the pack on the finishing circuit. Alexander Kristoff () won the first stage and the points classification, while the mountains classification was won by August Jensen (Team Coop-Øster Hus). BMC won the teams classification. The 2021 Arctic Race of Norway was a road cycling stage race that took place between 5 and 8 August 2021. Though the race took place mostly in Troms county, Norway. The race also made a brief appearance in Finland, marking the first time that the race ventured outside of Norway. It was the eighth edition of the Arctic Race of Norway, which was rated as a 2.Pro event on the 2021 UCI Europe Tour and the 2021 UCI ProSeries calendars.
