Arcobaleno Selvaggio
''Code Name: Wild Geese'' ( it, Arcobaleno selvaggio, german: Geheimcode: Wildgänse) is a 1984 West German-Italian Euro War film directed by Antonio Margheriti and starring Lewis Collins in the first of their three mercenary war films. Despite the films title, ''Code Name: Wild Geese'' is not the sequel to ''The Wild Geese'' film, but a derivative film. Kim Newman described the film as closer to the director's films such as ''The Last Hunter'' and ''Cannibal Apocalypse''. Plot In Hong Kong, DEA man Fletcher (Borgnine) heads an operation to cut off the supply of opium to the west; to fund this operation Fletcher has found himself allied with wealthy American businessman Brenner. Jan Němec (12 July 1936 – 18 March 2016) was a Czech filmmaker whose most important work dates from the 1960s. Film historian Peter Hames has described him as the "enfant terrible of the Czech New Wave." Biography Němec's career as a filmmaker started in the late 1950s when he attended FAMU. At that time, Czechoslovakia was a communist state subservient to the USSR, and artistic and public expression was subject to censorship and government review. However, thanks largely to the failure of purely propagandist cinema in the early 1950s and the presence of important and powerful people such as Jan Procházka within the Czechoslovak film industry, the 1960s led to an internationally acknowledged creative surge in Czechoslovak film that became known as the Czech New Wave, in which Němec played a part. Bruce Baron (November 15, 1949 – April 13, 2013) was an American actor. Born in New York City, he graduated from Cornell University (B.A. 1971). Luciano Pigozzi, also known professionally as Alan Collins (10 January 1927 – 14 June 2008), was an Italian character actor. Thomas Danneberg (2 June 1942 – 30 September 2023) was a German actor. He is best known as Charles Emerson in the 1967 Edgar Wallace film ''The Blue Hand'' and for dubbing over the actors Arnold Schwarzenegger, Terence Hill, Sylvester Stallone, John Cleese, Dan Aykroyd, Adriano Celentano, Nick Nolte, John Travolta, Michael York, Rutger Hauer and Dennis Quaid. Danneberg also collaborated with the German trance/techno-band E Nomine on a number of their albums. Thomas Danneberg retired from voice acting because of health reasons. He died from a stroke on 30 September 2023, at the age of 81.
