Arben Vitia
Arben Vitia (born 24 December 1973) is a Kosovar Albanian medical doctor and politician, who previously served as minister of health of the Republic of Kosovo. Education and early career He received his education at the University of Tirana, Albania, and worked as a general practitioner and consultant in Kosovo. In 2010, he join the Vetëvendosje Movement, then a nascent opposition party in Kosovo politics. Having led Vetëvendosje's healthcare committee in the past, he has been the leader of the party branch in the municipality of Prishtina since 2018. In 2013–2018, Vitia served as director of the healthcare and social welfare department at the Municipality of Pristina. Vjosa Osmani
Vjosa Osmani-Sadriu (born 17 May 1982) is a Kosovan jurist and politician serving as the sixth president of Kosovo since April 2021, having previously served as acting president from November 2020 to March 2021. She also served as Speaker of the Assembly of Kosovo from 2020 to 2021. Born and raised in Titova Mitrovica, SFR Yugoslavia (present-day Kosovo), Osmani studied law at the University of Pristina and the University of Pittsburgh School of Law. She worked as an advisor to the president of Kosovo Fatmir Sejdiu before she was elected to the Assembly. Osmani held the position of Speaker of the Assembly of Kosovo from February 2020 to March 2021. She served as Kosovo's acting president following the resignation of President Hashim Thaçi. 2019 Kosovan Parliamentary Election
Parliamentary elections were held in Kosovo on 6 October 2019. The main opposition parties received the most votes, led by Vetëvendosje and the Democratic League of Kosovo (LDK). Vetëvendosje leader Albin Kurti became Prime Minister, forming a governing coalition with the LDK on an anti-corruption platform. He is the second Prime Minister not to have been a fighter of the Kosovo Liberation Army during the 1990s. Përparim Rama (born 20 January 1976) is a Kosovo Albanian architect and urban planner serving as the current Mayor of Pristina since 7 December 2021. His work has been published in London Building Design Magazine and several other international design magazines. Biography Përparim Rama was born in Pristina on 20 January 1976. His father was a well-known Albanian painter. In 1992, when he was 16 years old, Përparim Rama moved to Great Britain along with his cousin Iliriana. 2021 Kosovan Parliamentary Election
Parliamentary elections were held in Kosovo on 14 February 2021. The results were a landslide victory for Vetëvendosje led by Albin Kurti and its coalition partner, Vjosa Osmani, former speaker of the Assembly of the Republic of Kosovo, parliament of Kosovo.
