Arabs In Germany
Arab Germans, also referred to as German Arabs or Arabic Germans (; ), are ethnic Arabs living in Germany. They form the second-largest predominantly Muslim immigrant group. Today, by far the largest group of Arabs living in Germany is from Syria, with 1,281,000 people with a Syrian immigrant background alone in 2023. Syrians mostly arrived in Germany after 2015, when the German government under Angela Merkel decided to keep the borders open to refugees from the Syrian civil war. Since then, they have been by far the largest group of immigrants to Germany. Zaidiyyah
Zaydism () is a branch of Shia Islam that emerged in the eighth century following Zayd ibn Ali's unsuccessful rebellion against the Umayyad Caliphate. Zaydism is one of the three main branches of Shi'ism, with the other two being Twelverism and Ismailism. Isma'ilism
Ismailism () is a branch of Shia Islam. Alawites
Alawites () are an Arab ethnoreligious group who live primarily in the Levant region in West Asia and follow Alawism, a sect of Islam that splintered from early Shia as a ''ghulat'' branch during the ninth century. Alawites venerate Ali ibn Abi Talib, the " first Imam" in the Twelver school, as a manifestation of the divine essence. It is the only ''ghulat'' sect still in existence today. Alevism
Alevism (; ; ) is a syncretic heterodox Islamic tradition, whose adherents follow the mystical Islamic teachings of Haji Bektash Veli, who taught the teachings of the Twelve Imams, whilst incorporating some traditions from shamanism.
