Ghana
Ghana, officially the Republic of Ghana, is a country in West Africa. Kwabena Appiah-Kubi (born 1992) is a New Zealand professional footballer who plays as a winger. Biography Born in Auckland to Ghanaian parents, Appiah arrived in Sydney, Australia as a six-year-old. He started playing football in the Granville Association, and came of age in the Western Sydney region at Parramatta City, Granville Rage and Spirit FC. Stephen Appiah
Stephen Leroy Appiah ( ; born 24 December 1980) is a Ghanaian former professional footballer who played as a midfielder. During his career, he played for Udinese, Parma, Brescia, Juventus and Galatasaray's youth squad but was not signed and he returned to Hearts of Oak. In 1997, he moved abroad to join Italian Serie A side Udinese, where he initially played as a striker. He spent three seasons with the club, later changing positions during his time there, moving to a deeper midfield position. A transfer to Parma in 1999 was jeopardised by viral hepatitis, but Appiah overcame the illness to move there in the summer of 2000. Pontifical Council For Justice And Peace
The Pontifical Council for Justice and Peace (''Justitia et Pax'') was a pontifical council of the Roman Curia dedicated to "action-oriented studies" for the international promotion of justice, peace, and human rights from the perspective of the Roman Catholic Church. Peter Turkson
Peter Kodwo Appiah Turkson (born 11 October 1948) is a Ghanaian Catholic prelate who has served as chancellor of the Pontifical Academies of Sciences since 2022. He was president of the Pontifical Council for Justice and Peace from 2009 to 2017 and the inaugural prefect of the Dicastery for the Promotion of Integral Human Development from 2017 to 2021. Turkson was previously Archbishop of Cape Coast from 1992 to 2009, and was made a cardinal by Pope John Paul II in 2003. Peggy Appiah
Enid Margaret "Peggy" Appiah (''née'' Cripps), MBE ( ; 21 May 1921 – 11 February 2006), was a British children's author, philanthropist and socialite. The youngest daughter of the Rt Hon. Sir Stafford and Dame Isobel Cripps, she was the wife of Ghanaian lawyer and political activist Nana Joe Appiah, and mother of the philosopher Kwame Anthony Appiah. Early life The youngest of four children, Enid Margaret Cripps was born at Goodfellows in Gloucestershire, just across the county border from the home of her parents, Stafford Cripps and Isobel (née) Swithinbank, in the village of Filkins, Oxfordshire. Michael Ofosu Appiah (born 29 December 1989) is a Ghanaian former footballer who last played for FC Noah Jurmala in Latvia. He often played as a centre-back. Kwesi Appiah (born 12 August 1990) is a professional footballer who plays as a striker for Ebbsfleet United. Born in England, he represents the Ghana national team. Kwame Akroma-Ampim Kusi Anthony Appiah ( ; born 8 May 1954) is an English-American philosopher and writer who has written about political philosophy, ethics, the philosophy of language and mind, and African intellectual history. Appiah is Professor of Philosophy and Law at New York University, where he joined the faculty in 2014, and has been a Silver Professor since 2025. He was previously the Laurance S. Evelyn Abena Akuaba Appiah (born June 2, 1993) is a Ghanaian–American singer, model and beauty queen who was crowned Queen Beauty Universe 2016 and Miss Grand International 2020. She was appointed as Miss Grand USA and became the first Black woman to win the Miss Grand International crown. She previously represented Ghana in two of the Big Four international beauty pageants but lost in Miss Universe 2014 and Miss Earth 2019.
