Francistown is the second-largest city in Botswana, with a population of about 103,417 inhabitants and 147,122 inhabitants in its agglomeration at the 2022 census. It is located in eastern Botswana, about north-northeast from the capital, Gaborone. Anthony Pascal Rebello, Society of the Divine Word (18 March 1950 – 4 May 2024) was a Kenyan Roman Catholic prelate of Goan ancestry who served as Bishop in Botswana, from 2021 until his death in 2024.
