Anthony Hudson (football Manager)
Anthony Patrick Hudson (born March 11, 1981) is an American-English professional soccer manager who is the technical director of Thailand. Hudson became one of the youngest coaches to earn the UEFA Pro Licence, the highest coaching award in football, in 2012. Hudson has managed Bahrain and New Zealand, leading the teams to the 2015 AFC Asian Cup and 2017 FIFA Confederations Cup respectively. Hudson also became the youngest ever manager to lead a team in FIFA Confederations Cup history while managing New Zealand. In 2023, Hudson had briefly been the interim coach of the United States national team, before stepping down before the start of the 2023 CONCACAF Nations League finals. The FIFA Confederations Cup was an international association football tournament for men's national teams, held every four years by FIFA. It was contested by the holders of each of the six continental championships ( AFC, CAF, CONCACAF, CONMEBOL, OFC, and UEFA), along with the current FIFA World Cup holder and the host nation, to bring the number of teams up to eight. The UEFA coaching licences are documents testifying credentials of manager (association football), managers/ coach (sport), coaches among members of UEFA. The governing body for association football, football in Europe mandates several licences, each valid for coaching at a certain level.
