The Bishop of Raphoe ( ) is an episcopal title which takes its name after the town of Raphoe in County Donegal, Ireland. In the Roman Catholic Church it remains a separate title, but in the Church of Ireland it has been united with another bishopric. History In the earliest period of the diocese, the episcopal see was often referred to as Tír Conaill (the surrounding region). It was also sometimes written as ''Ráith Both'', the Middle Irish spelling of the location. In 1266, Bishop Germanus of Derry forcibly transferred the Inishowen peninsula from the jurisdiction of the Diocese of Raphoe to the Diocese of Derry. After the Reformation, there were parallel episcopal successions. In the Church of Ireland, the title continued until 1834 when it united with Derry and formed the united bishopric of Derry and Raphoe. Anthony John Coyle (born 17 January 1960) is a Scottish former professional footballer who played as a winger. He made 46 Scottish League appearances for Albion Rovers and more than 300 in the English Football League for Stockport County (242 league matches in two spells), Chesterfield and Exeter City. He also played 15 times, scoring once, for Northwich Victoria in the 1989–90 Football Conference, and spent just over a season with Northern Premier League club Hyde United. Anthony Coyle (American Football)
Anthony Coyle (born September 19, 1996) is a former American football offensive tackle. He played college football at Fordham. High school career Coyle attended Tottenville High School in Staten Island. He began his high school career at nose tackle, but switched to the offensive line as a junior. Coyle earned the Sal Somma Award as Staten Island's top offensive lineman in 2013. College career Coyle played college football at Fordham and played in 48 games. He started 10 games at right tackle as a freshman in 2014 before switching to left tackle as a sophomore and starting 34 games at that position. Coyle earned Phil Steele NCAA FCS Freshman All-America honors and was named to the Second-team All-Patriot League during his sophomore season.
