''Antenna'' is a ABC magazine style television program for children in Australia. Aimed at 10 to 13 year olds it initially ran in a Thursday afternoon slot and was repeated on Sunday morning. Gerard Sont, also known as Gerry Sont and sometimes credited as Gerald Sont, is an Australian actor and TV host. Early life and education Gerard Sont was born Sydney, New South Wales. He studied acting at in London, England, and later trained with Uta Hagen in New York City. Acting career Sont joined Actors Equity of Australia in 1976. Screen Sont played the titular Melvin in '' Melvin, Son of Alvin'' (1984). He played recurring character Brett Mackin on ''Home and Away'' (from the series' inception in 1988, with appearances until 2005), and a main character, Cal Lawrence, in the TV series '' Chances''. Alita Fahey
Alita Fahey is an Australian former TV actress and reporter who appeared on '' Simon Townsend's Wonder World'' (Network 10), ''The Ossie Ostrich Video Show'' (Nine network) and the children's show '' Antenna'' (ABC). She also had roles on ''The Restless Years'' and ''Sons and Daughters'' and '' The Boy in the Bush'' (ABC). Fahey appeared in many Australian films and commercials, has sung professionally for many years both in Australia and overseas, and is an accomplished singer/songwriter. Sandra Lillingston is an Australian actress active between 1984 and 1997. Career Lillingston appeared as a presenter in a short 1983 documentary ''One Last Chance'' on the probation system in South Australia. Her first acting role was as the ongoing character Christine Yates in the ABC TV series ''Sweet and Sour'' in 1984.
