Anoushiravan Nourian
Anoushiravan Nourian ( fa, انوشیروان نوریان; born 25 January 1972) is a retired amateur Iranian-born Australian boxer. He picked up a bronze medal in the welterweight at the 1994 Asian Games in Hiroshima, and also competed in two editions of the Olympic Games (1992 and 2004) under different banners. Nourian's career had been overshadowed by a doping controversy in 2000, resulting to a ban from the Iranian boxing team at the Summer Olympics in Sydney and his emigration to Australia, where he later obtained a dual citizenship. Nourian made his official debut at the 1992 Summer Olympics in Barcelona, where he ousted his opening match to Italy's Michele Piccirillo in men's light welterweight division (63.5 kg), receiving a default score 5–23. Light welterweight, also known as junior welterweight or super lightweight, is a weight class in combat sports. Boxing Professional boxing In professional boxing, light welterweight is contested between the lightweight and welterweight divisions, in which boxers weigh above 61.2kg or 135 pounds and up to 63.5 kg or 140 pounds. The first champion of this weight class was Pinky Mitchell in 1946, though he was only awarded his championship by a vote of the readers of the ''Boxing Blade'' magazine. Michele Piccirillo (born 29 January 1970 in Modugno, Italy) is a professional boxer in the welterweight () division. Amateur career Michele Piccirillo was an Italian boxer who earned the nickname “Il Gentleman del Ring” for his elegant fighting style and sportsmanship. He started boxing under the guidance of his father and coach Scipione. As an amateur he fought 112 matches from 1986 to 1992, with 108 victories and 4 losses. The highlight of his amateur career came in 1991 when he won a bronze medal at the European Championship. Ajose Olusegun is a British- Nigerian former professional boxer who competed from 2001 to 2014. He challenged once for the WBC interim super lightweight in 2012. Nandrolone, also known as 19-nortestosterone, is an androgen and anabolic steroid (AAS) which is used in the form of esters such as nandrolone decanoate (brand name Deca-Durabolin) and nandrolone phenylpropionate (brand name Durabolin). Nandrolone esters are used in the treatment of anemias, cachexia (muscle wasting syndrome), osteoporosis, breast cancer, and for other indications. They are not used by mouth and instead are given by injection into muscle or fat. The men's light welterweight boxing competition at the 2000 Olympic Games in Sydney was held from 20 September to 1 October at the Sydney Convention and Exhibition Centre. Arkhom Chenglai ( th, อาคม เฉ่งไล่; ; born June 11, 1970) is a Thai boxer. At the 1992 Summer Olympics he won a bronze medal in the men's Welterweight category. Arkhom before being an amateur boxer was a Muay Thai fighter under the ring name Issara Sakgreerin (อิสระ ศักดิ์กรีรินทร์). He used to play football, one day, he hid from the rain at a Muay Thai gym and saw his brother training which led him to it.
