Life Clark was fifth of the 12 children of Eleanor and James Clark of Street, Somerset. She travelled to the University of Bern with Jex-Blake and Pechey to study medicine. Her graduation thesis was titled ''The Ankle Joint in Man''. She was licensed in medicine and midwifery by the Royal College of Physicians of Ireland on 27 May 1878. Ann Nolan Clark
Ann Nolan Clark, born Anna Marie Nolan (December 5, 1896 – December 13, 1995), was an American writer who won the 1953 Newbery Medal. Biography Born in Las Vegas, New Mexico in 1896, Clark graduated from New Mexico Normal School (now New Mexico Highlands University) in Las Vegas at age 21, and married Thomas Patrick Clark on August 6, 1919. She gave birth to an only son, Thomas Patrick, Jr., who later died as a pilot in World War II. She began her career teaching English at what is now the Highlands University. However, in the early 1920s, she transferred to a job teaching children how to read for the Tesuque pueblo people, which lasted for 25 years. Clark found that the underfunded Tesuque School couldn't afford any substantial instructional material. Anne Clark (netball)
Anne Evelyn Clark was an Australian netball administrator, umpire and coach. Between 1950 and 1979 she served as President of the New South Wales Women's Basketball Association. Between 1955 and 1978, she also served five terms as President of the All Australia Netball Association. Clark umpired at the 1967 and 1975 World Netball Championships. In 1975 she was awarded the British Empire Medal and in 2009 was inducted into the Australian Netball Hall of Fame. Clark died on 12 June 1983 in Singapore while attending the 1983 World Netball Championships. She was cremated in Sydney. Anne Clark Martindell (July 18, 1914 – June 11, 2008) was an American Democratic Party politician from New Jersey, as well as a diplomat who was United States Ambassador to New Zealand from 1979 to 1981. Early life and family Anne Clark was born in New York City on July 18, 1914, to William and Marjory Bruce (''née'' Blair) Clark, a daughter of the investment banker C. Ledyard Blair. Her younger brother was Blair Clark, a liberal journalist and activist. After her parents' divorce in 1947, her father remarried the journalist Sonia Tomara. After attending boarding school in Maryland she enrolled at Smith College in 1932. Anne Rogers Clark (born January 6, 1929, Flushing, New York – died December 20, 2006, Wilmington, Delaware) was an American dog breeder and trainer and one of the few people licensed to judge all 165 breeds and varieties recognized by the American Kennel Club. She was the first woman to win best in show at the Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show as a professional handler, and she tied for second there among all handlers with three best in shows. Her poetry work with experimental musicians occupies a region bounded roughly by electronic, dance (techno applies on occasion) and possibly avant-garde genres, with varying hard as well as romantic and orchestral styles.
