Ganpatrao Annasaheb Deshmukh
Ganpatrao Deshmukh (10 August 1927 – 30 July 2021) was an Indian politician. He was in office for 54 years. He was called "Abasaheb" by the people with love and affection. He was also called "Bhai" by peasants and workers. Biography He was the leader of Peasants and Workers Party of India (PWP). He belongs to Hindu - Dhangar (shepherd) caste. He is the longest serving member of the Maharashtra Legislative Assembly having been elected 11 times, during the last 54 years, from Sangola in Solapur district. Deshmukh also briefly served as a minister in the First Sharad Pawar ministry in 1978, and later in 1999 Maharashtra Legislative Assembly election, 1999, when PWP supported the Congress-NCP alliance. Annasaheb Jolle
Annasaheb Shankar Jolle (born 1963) is an Indian politician who is the ex Member of Parliament in the Lok Sabha from Chikkodi. Annasaheb Jolle and his wife Shashikala Jolle both contested on BJP tickets from Chikkodi-Sadalga and Nippani constituencies respectively. However, Annasaheb Jolle lost to Ganesh Hukkeri for the second time whereas Shashikala Jolle emerged victorious. Shashikala Annasaheb Jolle
Shashikala Annasaheb Jolle (born 20 November 1969, nee Shashikala Haradare), is an Indian social worker and politician. She served as a minister in the BJP government led by B.S. Yediyurappa. She is a three time Member of the Legislative Assembly for the Nippani Assembly constituency representing Bharatiya Janata Party. Career Shashikala was elected to 14th Karnataka Legislative Assembly in 2013 election from Nippani constituency with 81,860 votes. She was re-elected from Nippani in the 2018 Karnataka Legislative Assembly elections polling 87,006 votes. On 20 August 2019 she was inducted as the Cabinet Minister in the BJP Government led by B.S. Annasaheb Kirloskar
Balwant Pandurang Kirloskar (31 March 1843 − 2 November 1885), popularly known as Annasaheb Kirloskar, was a Marathi playwright from the Bombay Presidency in British India. Kirloskar was born on March 31, 1843, at Gurlhosur in Belgaum district to a Karhade Brahmin family. After completing schooling in his native place, at the age of twenty, Annasaheb moved to Pune to pursue further education. His overwhelming interest, however, lay in theatre and he faced parental pressure for his continued disinterest in formal education. His father pressurised him to return to his native Belgaum. To support himself, Kirloskar then worked for eight years as a school teacher in Belgaum; he subsequently worked for a few years in the police department and then as a clerk in the revenue commissioner's office. Annasaheb Sahasrabuddhe
Annasaheb Sahasrabuddhe was an Indian independence activist, Gandhian, social worker and one of the leaders of Bhoodan movement, initiated by Vinoba Bhave. He was the secretary of Sevagram Trust, Wardha and chaired the Standing Committee of Rural Industries set up by the Government of India, under the aegis of the Planning Commission of India in 1960. When Vinoba Bhave introduced ''Gramdan program'' as a part of the Bhoodan movement, Sahasrabuddhe was entrusted with the implementation of the program in Koraput district of Odisha and it was reported that he carried out the scheme successfully. He was a close associate of Baba Amte, a renowned social activist.
