Ankara (electoral Districts)
Ankara is a Turkish province divided into three electoral districts of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey. It elects thirty-six members of parliament (deputies) to represent the Ankara Province, province of the same name for a four-year term by the D'Hondt method, a party-list proportional representation system. Members Population reviews of each electoral district are conducted before each general election, which can lead to certain districts being granted a smaller or greater number of parliamentary seats. Ankara is the second largest province in Turkey and saw an increase in its seat allocation ahead of the 2011 election to 31 members, with the first district electing 16 MPs while the second district electing 15 MPs per district. Haymana
Haymana is a municipality and district of Ankara Province, Turkey. Its area is 2,164 km2, and its population is 26,016 (2022). It is 72 km south of the capital, Ankara. Its elevation is 1200 m. Etymology According to the 1074-dated dictionary Dīwān ul-Lughat al-Turk, haymana means prairie in Turkish. History Archaeological excavations were launched in ''Gavur Kalesi'', a castle situated in the village of Dereköy, in the years 1930 and 1998. The results showed that it was an important Phrygian settlement. Besides, the tumuli located in Türkhöyük and Oyaca villages prove that the area was also inhabited during the Hittite period. Pursaklar is a municipality and metropolitan Districts of Turkey, district of Ankara Province, Turkey. Its area is 169 km2, and its population is 162,389 (2022). Kızılcahamam
Kızılcahamam is a municipality and Districts of Turkey, district of Ankara Province, Turkey. Its area is 1,623 km2, and its population is 26,872 (2022). It is 70 km north of the city of Ankara, near the motorway to Istanbul. Its elevation is 975 m. The area is mountain and forest, a geographical boundary between central Anatolia and the Black Sea regions. Kalecik, Ankara
Kalecik is a municipality and district of Ankara Province, Turkey. Its area is 1,110 km2, and its population is 12,794 (2022). Its elevation is . Güdül is a municipality and district of Ankara Province, Turkey. Its area is 540 km2, and its population is 8,079 (2022). It is 90 km north-west of the city of Ankara, off the motorway to Istanbul. Güdül is a mountainous district with a dry climate featuring cold winters (down to -20 °C), hot summers (up to 35 °C) and a little rain in spring and autumn.
