Anjani Thomas
Anjani Thomas (born July 10, 1959) is an American singer-songwriter and pianist, best known for her work with singer-songwriter Leonard Cohen, as well as Carl Anderson, Frank Gambale, and Stanley Clarke. She became a solo artist in 2000. Life Anjani was born in Honolulu, Hawaii, where she trained in guitar, piano and voice. She attended Berklee College of Music for a year then moved to New York City to a pursue a music career. She performed in jazz clubs before meeting producer John Lissauer, who hired her to provide backup vocals on Leonard Cohen's influential song "Hallelujah" from '' Various Positions''. Añjanā
Anjana (), also known as Anjani and Anjali, is the mother of Hanuman, one of the protagonists of the Hindu epic, the ''Ramayana''. She is said to have been a resident of Kishkindha in the text. Legend According to a version of the legend, Anjana was an apsara named Punjikastala, who was born on earth as a vanara princess due to the curse of a sage. Anjana was married to Kesari, a vanara chief, and the son of Brihaspati. Anjana was the mother of Hanuman. Anjani Bai Malpekar
Anjanibai Malpekar (22 April 1883 – 7 August 1974) was a noted Indian classical singer, belonging to the Bhendibazaar gharana of Hindustani classical music. In 1958, she became the first woman to be awarded the Sangeet Natak Akademi Fellowship, the highest honour conferred by the Sangeet Natak Akademi, India's National Academy for Music, Dance and Drama. Acclaimed for her beauty in her youth, Malpekar was the muse of painters Raja Ravi Varma and M. V. Dhurandhar. Early life and background Malpekar was born on 22 April 1883, in Malpe, Pernem in Goa, in music loving family that belonged to Goan Kalavant community. Both her grandmother Gujabai and mother Nabubai were respected names in music circles. Anjani Kumar Sharma ( ne, अञ्जनी कुमार शर्मा) was Nepal's first surgeon. Sharma was born on June 7, 1928, in the remote region of Bhaluwahi in Siraha District in the Terai region of Nepal. Growing up in rural Nepal there was poor access to healthcare, because of this he lost his mother at age 8. Following her death he was inspired to become a doctor. With the help of his father and uncle he achieved his dreams. He completed his MBBS from Calcutta Medical College in 1955. He was awarded MS in Surgery from Darbhanga Medical College in India. ''Anjaana Anjaani'' () is a 2010 Indian Hindi-language romantic comedy drama film directed by Siddharth Anand and produced by Sajid Nadiadwala.
