Anita (1967 Film)
''Anita'' is a 1967 Indian suspense film, directed and produced by Raj Khosla, and starring Manoj Kumar and Sadhana Shivdasani, Sadhana. The film is the last of the suspense-thriller trilogy of Khosla-Sadhana partnership. ''Woh Kaun Thi?'' (1964) and ''Mera Saaya'' (1966) were the two previous films in the series. The movie flopped at the box office. The plot twist of the movie was based on that of the 1958 film ''Vertigo (film), Vertigo''. Sadhana was praised for her portrayal of Anita despite the film underperforming at the box office. Raj Khosla
Raj Khosla (31 May 1925 – 9 June 1991) was one of the top directors, producers and screenwriters in Hindi film industry from the 1950s to the 1980s. He was known for bringing in "neo-noir" and style in Indian cinema, and also as a "women's director" because he showcased actresses at their best. He has given many successful films with Dev Anand. Raja Mehdi Ali Khan (23 September 1915 – 29 July 1966) was an Indian poet, writer and a lyricist. Early life and career Raja Mehdi Ali Khan was born in 1915 into a Punjabi Rajput family of the Janjua clan, Mehdi Ali lost his father when he was four. His mother Hubia Khanum who was the sister of Maulana Zafar Ali Khan, got him educated and he completed his basic education at Islamia College (Lahore). Anand Bakshi (21 July 1930 – 30 March 2002) was an Indian poet and lyricist. He won Filmfare Award for Best Lyricist 4 times during his career. He wrote over 6000 film songs in more than 300 films. Early life Anand Bakshi (Bakshi Anand Prakash Vaid) was born in Rawalpindi in the Punjab Province of British India (now in Punjab, Pakistan), on 21 July 1930 into a Mohyal Brahmin family of the Vaid clan.
