Anisa Angarola
Anisa Angarola is one of twelve guitar soloists selected nationwide to perform in the historic 1980 master class given by Andrés Segovia. She is also founder of the renowned Los Angeles Guitar Quartet, recording and touring with the group for ten years to international acclaim. Performances included the Hong Kong Arts Festival, Wigmore Hall in London, Carnegie Hall, Teatro Nacional María Guerrero in Madrid, Zurich Tonhalle, the International Cervantino Festival of Mexico, international radio-television broadcasts including ZDF Mainz, Germany. Anisa has also concertized with maestro Angel Romero and with the Romeros Quartet. In 1991, Anisa founded the Angarola Guitar Quartet combining a group of international guitarists to commission new repertoire for guitar ensemble. Andrés Segovia
Andrés Segovia Torres, 1st Marquis of Salobreña (21 February 1893 – 2 June 1987) was a Spanish virtuoso classical guitarist. Many professional classical guitarists were students of Segovia or their students. Segovia's contribution to the modern-romantic repertoire included not only commissions but also his own transcriptions of classical or baroque works. He is remembered for his expressive performances: his wide palette of tone, and his distinctive musical personality, phrasing and style. Early life Segovia was born on 21 February 1893 in Linares, Jaén. He was sent at a very young age to live with his uncle Eduardo and aunt María. Eduardo arranged for Segovia's first music lessons with a violin teacher after he had recognised that Segovia had an aptitude for music. The Romeros
Los Romeros, The Romero Guitar Quartet, is a guitar quartet, sometimes known as "The Royal Family of the Guitar" — their personnel consists entirely of members of the Romero family. The quartet was founded in 1960 by Celedonio Romero, who grew up in Franco's Spain. He and his family emigrated to the United States in 1957. All three of his sons, Angel, Celin and Pepe, had made their performing debuts by the time they were seven. In 1957, the Romeros moved to the United States, where they continue to reside. In 1990 Angel left the quartet, and was replaced by Celin's son Celino. Celedonio Romero died in 1996, and was replaced by Angel's son Lito. Dublin
Dublin (; , or ) is the capital and largest city of Ireland.
