Angel Canino
Angel Anne Canino (born June 25, 2003) is a Filipino volleyball player. She is currently playing as an outside hitter for the De La Salle Lady Spikers volleyball , De La Salle Lady Spikers in the University Athletic Association of the Philippines. She played for the Philippines women's national under-23 volleyball team in the 2019 Women's Volleyball Kor Royal Cup held in Thailand. Canino missed the UAAP Season 86 volleyball tournaments at the Mall of Asia Arena on April 4, 2024 after injuring her right arm. During the De La Salle Lady Spikers volleyball, Lady Spikers’ game against UP Fighting Maroons, UP, she suffered an “accident not related to volleyball” and that she has “no set timeline for return,” Patrice Dabao reported. The Zobel Junior Archers (officially the De La Salle Zobel Junior Archers) is the varsity team of De La Salle Santiago Zobel School and is the Juniors' team of De La Salle University's De La Salle Green Archers in the University Athletic Association of the Philippines. UAAP Season 85 Volleyball Tournaments
The UAAP Season 85 volleyball tournaments are the University Athletic Association of the Philippines (UAAP) volleyball tournaments for the 2022–23 school year. This is the first completed tournament since 2019. The collegiate men's and women's tournaments began on February 25, 2023. The high school boys' and girls' tournaments began earlier on February 13, 2023. This is the first tournament for men's, boys' and girls' since the COVID-19 pandemic. Tournament format The UAAP continued to use the Final Four with an updated format in stepladder prior to the start of Season 85, which was to scrapped the "undue advantage" bestowed to second seed team. The league reverted to its pre-pandemic Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday schedule and protocols such as handshakes and court-side switches between the two teams. 2022 Shakey's Super League Collegiate Pre-Season Championship
The 2022 Shakey's Super League Collegiate Pre-Season Championship was the inaugural tournament of Shakey's Super League. The tournament was held on September 24 to November 19, 2022, at Rizal Memorial Coliseum, Manila. It features 18 collegiate teams from the two most prominent collegiate athletics associations in the country — NCAA and UAAP. 2018 Palarong Pambansa
The 2018 Palarong Pambansa was the 61st edition of the Palarong Pambansa multi-sports event and was held in Vigan, Ilocos Sur from April 15 to 21, 2018. Student athletes from 17 athletic associations representing the 17 regions of the Philippines competed in different sporting events and disciplines. Bidding The cities of Baguio, Iligan, Vigan and the province of Bukidnon made a bid to host the 61st Palarong Pambansa. In 2017, Vigan was selected host of the Games. In January 2018, the Department of Education and the provincial government of Ilocos Sur signed a memorandum of agreement regarding the hosting of the games to be held primarily in Vigan.
