Andrew Wright (born 1971) is a Canadian multimedia artist based in Ottawa, Ontario. Life Wright was born 4 September 1971 in Cambridge, England. He holds a specialist degree in Art and Art History from the University of Toronto (1994) and a Masters in Fine Arts at the University of Windsor (1997). Wright is currently associate professor in the Department of Visual Art at the University of Ottawa. Work Many of Wright's pieces have explored the nature of perception, photographic structures and technologies. His work, ''Home and Garden'' (Oakville Galleries, Oakville, Ontario 2002) presented the Gairloch Gardens in Oakville using three different photographic means: an antique camera lucida, a modern still camera and a video camera. The results, suggested by Elaine Hujer (Hamilton Spectator, 2003), are "so profoundly distinctive that viewers may be inspired to review, reinvestigate and reinterpret their own ideas about Oakville's stately lakeside manor." Andrew Wright (born 30 June 1980) is an English cricketer. He is a left-handed batsman and occasional wicketkeeper who played for Huntingdonshire. He was born in Peterborough. Andrew David Wright (born 15 January 1985) is an English former professional footballer and current coach who last played as a centre midfielder and right back. He played for the Cape Cod Crusaders, Scunthorpe United, Grimsby Town, Morecambe and Southport. Career A native of Southport, England, Wright began his career at his hometown club Liverpool as a youth team player, however he was released from the Anfield club in 2004 and subsequently joined American side West Virginia University where he also earned his degree in Physical Education, he is described as completing 'one of the finest careers in school history' and was called up to the College Men's MVP side – its version of an All-America team. Wright joined Scunthorpe United in January 2008 from West Virginia University. On 28 September 2010 he joined Conference National team Grimsby Town on loan. Andrew Barkworth Wright
Sir Andrew Barkworth Wright KCMG CBE MC with Bar (30 November 1895 – 24 March 1971) was a British colonial administrator and army officer. He served as the Governor of British Cyprus from 1949 to 1954 and as Governor of the Gambia from 1947 to 1949. Early life and education Wright was born in Mawgan-in-Meneage, Cornwall, the son of an Anglican clergyman. His heritage has been traced back to John I'Anson (1467–1546), who migrated from Belgium to Cumbria. He was educated at Haileybury and Imperial Service College from 1910 to 1914 and later at Jesus College, Cambridge. He served as an officer in the Suffolk Regiment during World War I and won the Military Cross (MC) in 1917. Colonial service Wright joined the civil service in British Cyprus in 1922 and, by 1937, had become its Colonial Secretary. Panchiko
Panchiko ( ) is a British indie rock band originating from Nottingham, England. Formed between 1997 and 1998, the band originally consisted of lead vocalist and guitarist Owain Davies, guitarist/keyboardist Andrew "Andy" Wright, bassist Shaun Ferreday, and a drummer named John. A year after the revival of Panchiko in 2020, they were joined by guitarist Robert "Rob" Harris and John Schofield, who replaced their original drummer. The band first received public attention in 2016 when their 2000 demo EP ''Deathmetal (EP), D>E>A>T>H>M>E>T>A>L'' was discovered by a 4chan user in a charity shop in Sherwood, Nottingham and shared online through the music discussion section of the messageboard; the disc was notably distorted due to disc rot, lending further mystery to the EP, leading to a dedicated cult following and a community devoted to tracking down the band.
