Donald Clark Osmond (born December 9, 1957) is an American singer, dancer, actor, television host and former teen idol. He gained fame performing with four of his elder brothers as the Osmonds, earning several top ten hits and gold albums. In the early 1970s, Osmond began a solo career, earning several additional top ten songs. He further gained fame due to the success of the Donny & Marie (1976 TV series), 1976–1979 variety series ''Donny & Marie'', which Osmond hosted with his sister, Marie Osmond. The ''Donny & Marie'' duo also released a series of top ten hits and gold albums and hosted a syndicated and Daytime Emmy Award–nominated Donny & Marie (1998 TV series), 1998–2000 talk show. Paul Nicholas
Paul Nicholas (born Paul Oscar Beuselinck; 3 December 1944) is an English actor and singer best known for starring as Vince Pinner in the BBC television sitcom '' Just Good Friends'' (1983—86). The show won a BAFTA and Nicholas was nominated for best comedy performance. Nicholas started out with a pop career, but soon changed to musical theatre, playing the lead role in ''Jesus Christ Superstar'' at the West End’s Palace Theatre in 1972. After ''Just Good Friends'' ended, he returned to musical theatre and various other entertainment roles, including producing and directing. Jeff Fenholt
Jeffrey Craig Fenholt (September 15, 1950 – September 10, 2019) was an American musician, singer and actor best known for his performance as the title character in the original Broadway theatre production of ''Jesus Christ Superstar'', and for his appearance on the cover of ''Time''. In later years, Fenholt gained recognition as a Christian evangelist and singer, as well as controversy over his involvement with the heavy metal band Black Sabbath. He attended Whetstone High School in Columbus, Ohio during which time he was a member of the band The Fifth Order, which charted with the single "Going Too Far". Fenholt released several solo recordings, including a successful cover of Graham Nash's " Simple Man" (not to be confused with Lobo's "A Simple Man," which was released at nearly the same time). Yvonne Marianne Elliman (born December 29, 1951) is an American singer, songwriter, and actress who performed for four years in the first cast of the stage musical ''Jesus Christ Superstar''. Ian Gillan (born 19 August 1945) is an English singer who is best known as the lead singer and lyricist for the rock band Deep Purple. He is known for his powerful and wide-ranging singing voice. Initially influenced by Elvis Presley, Gillan started and fronted several local bands in the mid-1960s, and eventually joined Episode Six (band), Episode Six when their original singer left. ''Jesus Christ Superstar'' is a 1970 album musical written by Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice, and the debut of the rock opera of the same name. Initially unable to get backing for a stage production, the composers released it as an album, the success of which led to stage productions premiering in 1971. The musical dramatises the Passion of Jesus, beginning with his entry into Jerusalem and ending with the crucifixion. It was originally banned by the BBC on grounds of being "sacrilegious". By 1983, the album had sold over seven million copies worldwide. Composition Lloyd Webber and Rice had earlier success with '' Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat''. ''Jesus Christ Superstar'' is a sung-through rock opera with music by Andrew Lloyd Webber and lyrics by Tim Rice. Loosely based on the Life of Jesus in the New Testament, Gospels' accounts of Passion of Jesus, the Passion, the work interprets the psychology of Jesus and other characters, with much of the plot centred on Judas Iscariot, Judas, who is dissatisfied with the direction in which Jesus is steering his disciples.
