Andhra Mahasabha
Andhra Mahasabha ( Telugu: ఆంధ్ర మహాసభ, IAST: ''Āndhra mahāsabha'') was a people's organisation in the erstwhile Hyderabad state of India. It was an association started by Telugu people of Telangana region against Nizam rule. The people of Telangana formed the Andhra Mahasabha as they could not tolerate the injustice being done to the Telugu language and Telugu culture. In the late 1920s, under the leadership of Madapati Hanumantha Rao, the Telugu people united and formed a union and organized 13 Andhra Mahasabhas from 1930 to 1945. The activities of the Andhra Mahasabha in the Telangana region created awareness among the people against the Nizam and led to the armed struggle in Telangana. Madapati Hanumantha Rao
Madapati Hanumantha Rao (22 January 1885 – 11 November 1970) was an Indian statesman, poet and a short-story writer. He was the first Mayor of Hyderabad from 1951 to 1954. History Of Andhra Pradesh
The recorded history of Andhra Pradesh, one of the 28 states of 21st-century India, begins in the Vedic period. It is mentioned in Sanskrit epics such as the Aitareya Brahmana (800 BCE). Veth (or ''Vethi'' or ''Vetti-chakiri'', from Sanskrit ''visti''), also known as begar (from Persian), was a system of forced labour practised in India, in which members of populace were compelled to perform corvee labour for the government. Andole–Jogipet
Jogipet is a town and revenue division, municipality in Sangareddy district of Telangana, India. It is a conurbation of two towns, Andole and Jogipet. Konda Venkata Ranga Reddy
Konda Venkata Ranga Reddy (12 December 1890 – 24 July 1970) was an Indian statesman and activist served as the first Deputy Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh from 1959 to 1962. He is a freedom fighter who fought the Telangana Rebellion against the Jagirdars. The Ranga Reddy District in Telangana is named after him.
