America Unearthed
''America Unearthed'' was an American entertainment television series and the first original series to air on the A&E Networks channel H2. The show premiered on December 21, 2012, and was produced by Committee Films of Minneapolis, Minnesota. The program was hosted by Minnesota-based geologist Scott Wolter, who investigates mysteries and artifacts believed to reveal an alternative history of the North American continent before the United States. The show was cancelled following the sale of H2. The Travel Channel revived the series for ten episodes, again hosted by Wolter. The series broadcast in 2019 and was canceled after just one season. The show has been described as entertaining but also has received criticism for promoting pseudohistory. The Georgia Guidestones was a granite monument that stood in Elbert County, Georgia, United States, from 1980 to 2022. It was tall and made from six granite slabs weighing a total of . The structure was sometimes referred to as an "American Stonehenge". The monument's creators believed that there was going to be an upcoming social, nuclear, or economic calamity and they wanted the monument to serve as a guide for humanity in the world which would exist after it. Henry I Sinclair, Earl of Orkney, Lord of Roslin () was a Scottish nobleman. Sinclair held the title Earl of Orkney (which refers to Norðreyjar rather than just the islands of Orkney) and was Lord High Admiral of Scotland under the King of Scotland. The Narragansett Runestone, also known as the Quidnessett Rock, is a slab of metasandstone located in Rhode Island, United States. It is 5 (1.5m) feet high and 7 feet (2.1m) long. The stone is inscribed with two rows of symbols, which some have indicated resemble runes, characters used by Germanic peoples starting around the second or third century CE, with variants used in Anglo-Saxon and Scandinavian cultures during the medieval period. The Narragansett Runestone was originally situated in Narragansett Bay and only visible during extremely low tides. The runestone disappeared in 2012.
