''America's Next Top Model'' (abbreviated ''ANTM'' and ''Top Model'') is an American reality television series and interactive competition in which a number of aspiring models compete for the title of "America's Next Top Model" and a chance to begin their career in the modeling industry. Created by Tyra Banks, who also serves as an executive producer, and developed by Ken Mok and Kenya Barris, the series premiered in May 2003, and aired semiannually until 2012, then annually from 2013. The first six seasons (referred to as "cycles") aired on UPN, before UPN merged with The WB to create The CW in 2006. The following sixteen cycles aired on The CW until the series was first cancelled in October 2015. The series was revived in 2016 and has been airing on VH1 ever since. The series was among the highest-rated programs on UPN and was the highest-rated show on The CW from 2007 to 2010. The CW
The CW Network, LLC (commonly referred to as The CW or simply CW) is an American commercial broadcast television network which is controlled by Nexstar Media Group through a 75% ownership interest. The network's name is derived from the first letters of the names of its two founding co-owners CBS Corporation and Warner Bros. Nexstar acquired a 75% controlling stake in the network on October 3, 2022, with Paramount Global and Warner Bros. Discovery ( CBS Entertainment Group and Warner Bros. Television's respective parent companies) each retaining a 12.5% ownership stake. America's Next Top Model Season 22
The twenty-second cycle of ''America's Next Top Model'' (subtitled as ''America's Next Top Model: Guys & Girls'') premiered on August 5, 2015, and is the sixteenth and final cycle to air on The CW. The network announced in mid-October that they were cancelling the show and the finale episode aired on December 4, 2015. Like the two previous cycles, cycle 22 featured both male and female contestants. However, for the first time since cycle 13, the height restriction was removed and the competition was opened to contestants at any height. Tyra Banks, Kelly Cutrone and J. Alexander returned to the judging panel, with photographer Yu Tsai remaining as creative director. Unlike the last three cycles, social media was no longer included on the show. The twentieth cycle of ''America's Next Top Model'' (subtitled as ''America's Next Top Model: Guys & Girls'' and stylized as ''ANTM 2.0'') premiered on August 2, 2013. It was the 14th season to air on The CW. Tyra Banks, Kelly Cutrone, Bryanboy, and Rob Evans all returned as judges. As in the previous cycle, public voting was still a factor in eliminations. This was the first cycle of the show to feature male contestants. Tyra indicated in an interview that a school version called ''LeGore's Next Top Model'' (2011), inspired her to start including male contestants. ''Britain's Next Top Model'' (or ''Britain & Ireland's Next Top Model'' 2011–13), often abbreviated as ''BNTM'', ''BINTM'', or ''Top Model'', is a British-Irish reality television show in which a number of women compete for the title of ''Britain's Next Top Model'' and a chance to start their career in the modelling industry. The first "cycle" premiered on 14 September 2005 on Sky Living. The winner normally receives a modelling contract, cosmetics campaign, and a spread within a fashion magazine which also included appearing on the front cover. Other prizes which changed from cycle to cycle included a car, holiday, money, or an apartment among other things.
