Amélia (film)
''Amélia'' is a 2001 Brazilian comedy-drama, comedy-drama film directed by Ana Carolina (director), Ana Carolina, inspired by the visit of French actress Sarah Bernhardt to Brazil, in 1905. In the film, the actress is under a professional and personal crisis, but is induced by her Brazilian housekeeper, Amélia, to start performing in Rio de Janeiro. However, the actress is forced to live with the exotic sisters of Amélia. Ana Carolina had already written the screenplay for the film in 1989, but does not produced due to lack of money. It was shot in Pernambuco and Rio de Janeiro (state), Rio de Janeiro. It debuted at the Biarritz Film Festival where Béatrice Agenin won the best actress award. The film received three nominations at the Grande Prêmio do Cinema Brasileiro in the categories of best actress, for Miriam Muniz, best screenplay and best art direction. Amelia is the birth defect of lacking one or more limbs. The term may be modified to indicate the number of legs or arms missing at birth, such as tetra-amelia for the absence of all four limbs. The term is . Symptoms The diagnosis of amelia syndrome is established clinically and can be made on routine prenatal ultrasonography. WNT3 is the only gene known to be associated with tetra-amelia syndrome. Molecular genetic testing on a clinical basis can be used to diagnose the incidence of the syndrome. St. Lunaire-Griquet is a town in the Canadian province of Newfoundland and Labrador. The town is located near the northern tip of the Great Northern Peninsula of Newfoundland. The town had a population of 603 in the Canada 2021 Census. History French fishermen began fishing the region in the 16th century. However, St. Lunaire bay was not mapped until 1784 by the French sailor Liberge de Granchain. An island in the mouth of St. Lunaire bay still bears his namesake.
