Always Prepared
Always prepared (russian: Всегда Готов []; literally "Always ready") is the motto of the Pioneer movement , adopted by most of the Pioneer organizations in socialist countries. The motto is a common feature on the organizations' badges. The motto echoes the Scout motto, "Be Prepared." After the end of the Russian Civil War, the Scout organization of the former Tsarist Russia was replaced with the Young Pioneers. Pioneer Movement
A pioneer movement is an organization for children operated by a communist party. Typically children enter into the organization in elementary school and continue until adolescence. The adolescents then typically join the Young Communist League. Prior to the 1990s there was a wide cooperation between pioneer and similar movements of about 30 countries, coordinated by the international organization, '' International Committee of Children's and Adolescents' Movements'' (french: Comité international des mouvements d'enfants et d'adolescents, CIMEA), founded in 1958, with headquarters in Budapest, Hungary. Scout Motto
The Scout Motto of the Scout movement is, in English, "Be Prepared", with most international branches of the group using a close translation of that phrase. These mottoes have been used by millions of Scouts around the world since 1907. Most of the member organizations of the World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts (WAGGGS) share the same mottoes. Scouting in Russia comprises several dozen Scout associations, based on religion, politics and geography. History 1908 to 1922 In 1908, Baden-Powell's book ''Scouting for Boys'' came out in Russia by the order of Tsar Nicholas II. It was called ''Young Scout'' (, ''Yuny Razvedchik''). On , a young officer, Colonel Oleg Pantyukhov, organized the first Russian Scout troop ''Beaver'' (, ''Bobr'') in Pavlovsk, a town near Tsarskoye Selo, St. Petersburg region. In 1910, Baden-Powell visited Nicholas II in Tsarskoye Selo and they had a very pleasant conversation, as the Tsar remembered it. Dimitrovist Pioneer Organization "Septemberists" ( bg, Димитровска пионерска организация "Септемврийче") was a pioneer movement in Bulgaria. The organization was founded in September 1944. DPO "Septemberists" organized children between 9 and 14 years old. Its day-to-day affairs were supervised by the Dimitrov Communist Youth Union. A 1967 estimate put its membership to about 700 000. There were also an organization called ''chavdarcheta'' – these were the youngest children, which later became pioneers. The difference between the two was the distinctive scarf, which was sky-blue in the chavdarcheta movement and red in the pioneri movement.
