''Always in My Heart'' is a 1942 American drama film directed by Jo Graham and starring Kay Francis and Walter Huston. The song "Siempre en Mi Corazón" ("Always in My Heart"), by Ernesto Lecuona (music and Spanish lyrics) and Kim Gannon (English lyrics) was nominated for an Oscar for Best Original Song. Plot summary MacKenzie Scott (Walter Huston), a brilliant musician, is falsely convicted of murder and sentenced to life. While Scott languishes in prison, his long-suffering ex-wife Marjorie (Kay Francis) raises their two children to adulthood. Out of respect for Scott, whom she still loves, Marjorie never reveals to the kids that their father is in jail, insisting instead that Scott has long since died. Dorothy Bennett
Dorothy Bennett (sometimes credited as Dorothy Hannah) was an American screenwriter, novelist, and playwright who worked in Hollywood from the 1930s through the 1940s. Biography Bennett worked in advertising before finding a success as a playwright on Broadway. After Hollywood produced several big-screen adaptations of her plays, she moved to Los Angeles and took on work at MGM as a screenwriter. Bennett was married to Link Hannah, who she met while working in advertising. The pair, who occasionally wrote plays together, had three children. Sidney Blackmer
Sidney Alderman Blackmer (July 13, 1895 – October 6, 1973) was an American Broadway and film actor active between 1914 and 1971, usually in major supporting roles. Biography Blackmer was born and raised in Salisbury, North Carolina, the son of Clara Deroulhac (née Alderman) and Walter Steele Blackmer. He started in the insurance and financial counseling business but abandoned it. While working as a construction laborer on a new building, he saw a Pearl White serial being filmed and immediately decided to pursue acting as a career. He attended the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Blackmer went to New York, hoping to act on the stage. Herbert Smith Gunn (3 April 1903 – 2 March 1962) was a British newspaper editor. Biography Born in Gravesend, Bert Gunn worked as a reporter for the ''Kent Messenger'', and then the '' Straits Times'' in Singapore. He returned to the UK to work at the ''Manchester Evening News'', then the London ''Evening News'' and the ''Evening Standard''. Harry L. Lewis (April 1, 1920June 9, 2013) was a supporting actor in films and was the founder, along with his wife Marilyn, of the Hamburger Hamlet restaurant chain. Biography Lewis was born in Los Angeles, California, on April 1, 1920. His first film role was as a flagman in ''Dive Bomber'' (1941). John Rummel Hamilton (January 16, 1887 – October 15, 1958) was an American actor who appeared in many movies and television programs, including the role as the blustery newspaper editor Perry White in the 1950s television program '' Adventures of Superman''.
