Alur, Kurnool
Aluru (ah-LOO-roo) is a town in Alur mandal, Kurnool district, Alur mandal in the Kurnool district of Andhra Pradesh in India. Alur Assembly Segment is a part of Kurnool Parliamentary segment. Temples There are two well-known temples in Aluru. The Lord Navanepattayya Swamy Temple is famous for the modern-looking Lord Sai Baba of Shirdi, Sai Baba of Shirdi Temple, located near National Highway 167 in the centre of the town. The temple provides financial resources to support the village's many schools. The Anjaneya Swamy Temple is a forest temple located just outside Aluru. Hindus often use it as a site for marriages and/or other celebrations. Hindus who use this temple are typically from Aluru. Rajeev Alur
Rajeev Alur is an American professor of computer science at the University of Pennsylvania who has made contributions to formal methods, programming languages, and automata theory, including notably the introduction of timed automata (Alur and Dill, 1994) and nested words (Alur and Madhusudan, 2004). Prof. Alur was born in Pune. He obtained his bachelor's degree in computer science from the Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur in 1987, and his Ph.D. in computer science from Stanford University in 1991. Before joining the University of Pennsylvania in 1997, he was with the Computing Science Research Center at Bell Laboratories. His research has included formal modeling and analysis of reactive systems, hybrid systems, model checking, software verification, design automation for embedded software, and program synthesis. Mithu Alur
Mithu Alur (born 27 March 1943) is the founder chairperson of The Spastic Society of India – now rechristened ADAPT – Able Disable All People Together. She is an educator, disability rights activist, researcher, writer and published author on issues concerning people with disability in India. Alur is a pioneer in the care and education of people with Neuro-Muscular and Developmental Disabilities, like cerebral palsy, autism, Down syndrome and intellectual disabilities. Alur People
Alur are a Nilotic ethnic group who live in northwestern Uganda and northeastern Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC). They are part of the larger Luo group. In Uganda, they live mainly in the Nebbi, Zombo, Pakwach and Arua districts, while in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, they reside in the territory of Mahagi in the Ituri Province mostly north of Lake Albert.
