The original Visigoths, Visigothic name Alphons, ''Alfonso'' suffered the Phonetic change "f → h" in Spanish, phonetic change of the phoneme /f/ into the mute /h/ in the Early Middle Ages (around 9th Century), what eventually suppressed the sound /f/ from the name, deriving in the modern form ''Alonso''. Due to the demographic particularities of the Spain in the Middle Ages, Iberian peninsula during the Middle Ages, this phonetic change was not uniform across the territory and the original form ''Alfonso'' also survived in different areas. Alonso Ferreira de Matos (born 11 August 1980 in Montes Claros), simply known as Alonso is a Brazilian footballer who plays as a left back for Villa Nova Atlético Clube. He signed with Marítimo for the Portuguese outfit from rivals C.D. Nacional in 2009 and marked his debut with a goal from the penalty-spot in a 1–1 against Benfica. Alonso previously played for Cruzeiro, Fluminense, Criciúma and Paysandu in the Campeonato Brasileiro. He moved to Portugal in July 2004, where he spent five seasons with C.D. Nacional. ''The Tempest'' is a play by William Shakespeare, probably written in 1610–1611, and thought to be one of the last plays that he wrote alone. Casa Alonso is a house museum and cultural center in Vega Baja Pueblo, the historic downtown of the municipality of Vega Baja, Puerto Rico. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1996. The house is also known as Museo de Arte, Historia y Cultura Casa Alonso, administered by the municipality of Vega Baja. Alonso is a crater in the southern hemisphere of Miranda, a moon of Uranus, located at 44° S, 352.6 ° E. It has a diameter of . The crater is named after Alonso, King of Naples, one of the characters in Shakespeare's ''The Tempest''. The name Alonso was officially approved by the International Astronomical Union (IAU) in 1988.
