''Allroy for Prez'' is an EP by the American punk rock band All, released in 1988 through Cruz Records. Released the same year as the band's debut album, '' Allroy Sez'', the EP was All's final release with their original singer Dave Smalley. Background The EP was recorded in March 1988 at Third Wave Recording in Torrance, California with recording engineer Richard Andrews, who had worked with the band since 1986. Guitarist Stephen Egerton served as assistant engineer, while drummer Bill Stevenson served as record producer. The recordings were mixed that August. Bassist Karl Alvarez illustrated the cover, which features the band's Allroy character campaigning for President of the United States, timed to coincide with the 1988 U.S. presidential election. The back cover includes "The Allstitution", listing decrees such as "Freedom of Espresso", "Lower the Unenjoyment Level", and "Allistic Legislation". All (stylized ALL) is an American punk rock band originally from Los Angeles, California, currently based in Fort Collins, Colorado. The group was formed by Descendents members Bill Stevenson, Karl Alvarez, and Stephen Egerton. Scott Reynolds is an American punk rock vocalist from Fredonia, New York, known mainly for his work with the band ALL from 1989 to 1993. He has also performed with such bands as The Pavers and Goodbye Harry. Time with ALL Reynolds was pop-punk band ALL's second lead singer, replacing Dave Smalley in 1989. He recorded and toured with the group extensively from 1989 - 1993. His songwriting contributions with All were notable; his '' Dot'' off 1993's '' Percolater'' was the group's first single not written by drummer Bill Stevenson. Dag Nasty is an American hardcore punk band from Washington D.C., formed in 1985 by guitarist Brian Baker of Minor Threat, drummer Colin Sears and bassist Roger Marbury, both of Bloody Mannequin Orchestra, and vocalist Shawn Brown (later of Swiz and Jesuseater). Their style of less aggressive, melodic hardcore was influential to post-hardcore. Their influences include U2, particularly their debut album '' Boy'' (1980) the Damned, Descendents, Buzzcocks, and the Clash. DYS is an American straight edge hardcore punk band from Boston, Massachusetts, who were part of the " Boston Crew" in the 1980s, along with contemporaries such as SSD and Negative FX. The group later expanded their sound, becoming one of the first hardcore bands to veer into heavy metal. History Formation DYS was founded in the 1980s by singer Dave Smalley and bassist Jonathan Anastas. Down by Law is an American punk rock band formed in 1989 by former All frontman Dave Smalley, who is the only remaining original member. The band has released eleven studio albums. They stayed on Epitaph Records until 1998 and have since switched to other labels. Down by Law has never achieved substantial commercial success, but a number of largely popular acts cite them as influential, and they have an underground following. "Just Perfect" is a song by the American punk rock band All, released as a single from their 1988 debut album ''Allroy Sez''. Written by drummer Bill Stevenson, "Just Perfect" was remixed from the original album version for release as a single. The B-side track "Wishing Well", written by singer Dave Smalley, is from the ''Allroy Sez'' recording sessions but was not included on the album. Both tracks were later included on the compact disc release of All's following EP, ''Allroy for Prez'' (1988).
