Written by lead singer Rob Thomas, the song was released on February 9, 2004, in Australia as the fourth and final single from the album; in the United States, "Downfall"—released on the same day—served as the fourth and final single instead. This was Matchbox Twenty's last single until 2007 as well as the band's final single with rhythm guitarist Adam Gaynor as a member. The song charted at number 32 on the Australian ARIA Singles Chart. Matchbox Twenty (also known as Matchbox 20 and MB20) is an American rock band formed in Orlando, Florida, in 1995. The group currently consists of Rob Thomas (lead vocals, guitar, keyboards), Brian Yale (bass guitar), Paul Doucette (drums, rhythm guitar, backing vocals), and Kyle Cook (lead guitar, vocals). Adam Gaynor
Adam Gaynor (born November 26, 1963) is an American musician. He is the former rhythm guitarist for the band Matchbox Twenty. Career Gaynor was born on November 26, 1963. He served as the rhythm guitarist and background vocalist for Matchbox 20 from 1995 and performed on their first three albums before he left the band in 2005 while they were on hiatus. After leaving the band, Gaynor co-founded the Matchbox 20 Foundation, which has worked with Make-A-Wish Foundation, Special Olympics, Rock Against Cancer and Best Buddies and Art of Elysium in Los Angeles. In 2012, Gaynor launched the company Creationville and in September released his first book called ''This is Edgar Pingleton''. "How Far We've Come" is a song by American alternative rock group Matchbox Twenty. It was released in September 2007 as the lead single from their retrospective collection, ''Exile on Mainstream'', which was released on October 2, 2007. ''More Than You Think You Are'' is the third studio album by American rock band Matchbox Twenty, released on November 19, 2002. The album is again a departure for the band as the album has more of a focus on harder rock than the band's two previous albums. Five singles were released from the album: "Disease", " Unwell", " Bright Lights", "Downfall", and " All I Need". "Downfall" was released only in the United States while "All I Need" was issued only in Australia. Matthew Michael Serletic II (born 1970 or 1971) is an American record producer, songwriter, and music executive. Career As a teenager, Serletic joined a band with members of Collective Soul, a group for which he would later produce. Serletic has worked with several other popular bands and artists for Atlantic Records, including Matchbox Twenty, Cher, Blessid Union of Souls, Edwin McCain, Stacie Orrico, Taylor Hicks, Rob Thomas, and singer/songwriter Angie Aparo.
