"All Eyez on Me" is a song by American rapper 2Pac from his fourth studio album of the same name (1996). It features American rapper Big Syke. Produced by Johnny "J", the song contains a sample of "Never Gonna Stop" by Linda Clifford. Background In a sample of an earlier interview, later published after his death by '' XXL'' in 2015, Johnny "J" talked about connecting with 2Pac on the track: That was the very first track I laid when we got together at Death Row. Exile (American Band)
Exile is an American band originally formed in 1963. In the 1970s, they were known as a rock band that had a major hit single with " Kiss You All Over" in 1978. After several lineup changes, the band was re-launched as a country act that achieved additional success in the 1980s and '90s. J.P. Pennington is the only current member of the band remaining from its early days. Career Early years The origins of Exile were with a high school band in Richmond, Kentucky, called the Fascinations, which featured singer Jimmy Stokley. In 1963, the Fascinations merged with another local band and became Jimmy Stokley and the Exiles, with singer/guitarist J.P. Pennington, then age 14, joining a short time later. Linda Clifford (born 1944) is an American R&B, disco and house music singer who scored hits from the 1970s to the 1980s, most notably "If My Friends Could See Me Now", " Bridge over Troubled Water", " Runaway Love" and " Red Light". Career Clifford is a former Miss New York State, and fronted a jazz music trio before switching to R&B. Tyruss Gerald Himes (November 22, 1968 – December 5, 2016), better known by his stage names Big Syke and Mussolini, was an American rapper best known for his work with the American hip-hop groups Thug Life and Outlawz. His stage name "Big Syke" is a revision of his childhood nickname "Little Psycho". He died at his home in Hawthorne, California on December 5, 2016. Career In 1990, Big Syke and fellow rappers Domino and Mental Illness started a hip-hop group named Evil Mind Gangstas.
