Alice Bunker Stockham
Alice Bunker Stockham (November 8, 1833 – December 3, 1912) was an American obstetrician and gynecologist who was the fifth woman to become a doctor in the United States. She promoted gender equality, dress reform, birth control, and male and female sexual fulfillment for successful marriages. Leo Tolstoy and Havelock Ellis among her friends, she visited Sweden and from her trips to schools there she brought back the idea of teaching children domestic crafts, establishing shop and home economics classes in the United States. Her children were William Henry Stockham (1861–1923) founder of Stockham Valve and Fittings Inc. and a daughter Cora L. Cardington, Ohio
Cardington is a village in Morrow County, Ohio, United States. The population was 2,051 at the 2020 census. Mount Gilead, Ohio, the county seat, is located northeast of Cardington on U.S. Route 42. History A post office called Cardington was established in 1827. Cardington was named for the first industrial tool the town had, the carding machine. The village itself was founded in 1836. ''The Perfect Matrimony'' or ''The Door to Enter Into Initiation'' is the first of approximately seventy books written by Samael Aun Weor. It was first published in 1950 then revised and expanded in 1961. It describes the esoteric teachings of alchemy, tantra, kabbalah, the mysteries of the Maya, Aztecs, ancient Egyptians, Tibetans, and Essenes, among others. Samael Aun Weor
Samael Aun Weor (; March 6, 1917 – December 24, 1977), born Víctor Manuel Gómez Rodríguez, was a teacher and author of over sixty books of esoteric spirituality. He formed a new religious movement under the banner of "Universal Gnosticism", or simply gnosis, and taught the practical and esoteric principles to awaken and fundamentally change the psychological condition. He first made a name in the Gnosticism of his native country of Colombia, before moving to Mexico in 1956, where his movement gained increased popularity, and his works became popular among practitioners of occultism and Western esotericism, and were translated into other languages. Story of Onan Onan was a figure detailed in the Book of Genesis chapter 38, as the second son of Judah who married the daughter of Shuah the Canaanite.
