Susanne Bier (; born 15 April 1960) is a Danish filmmaker. Bier is the first female director to collectively receive an Academy Award (Academy Award for Best International Feature Film, Foreign Film), a Golden Globe Award, a European Film Award (for ''In a Better World'') and a Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Directing for a Limited or Anthology Series or Movie, Primetime Emmy Award (for directing ''The Night Manager (British TV series), The Night Manager'').
