Yassine Sekkoumi (), known by his stage name Ali, originally Daddy Ali (born 5 May 1975) is a French rapper of Moroccan origin. He started his music career with Booba as rap duo Lunatic and is now a solo rapper artist. For a certain time, he also used the stage name Africain Lié à l'Islam before deciding on using his mononym Ali. After the split-up of Lunatic, Ali released his album ''Chaos et Harmonie'' in 2005, (in French) collaborating with 45 Scientific. In 2015, he released the album ''Que la paix soit sur vous''. Lunatic was a French hip hop duo from Boulogne-Billancourt. The lineup consisted of Booba (from Boulogne-Billancourt) and Ali (from Issy-les-Moulineaux), coming from the department of Hauts-de-Seine in the west suburb of Paris. Élie Thitia Yaffa (; born 9 December 1976), better known under his stage name Booba, is a French rapper. After a brief stint as a break dancer in the early 1990s, Booba partnered with his friend Ali to form Lunatic. The duo released a critically acclaimed album in 2000 but disbanded in 2003. Booba has since embarked on a successful solo career, selling more than 10 million discs over his career and becoming the most downloaded artist (legally) in France. Ultratop is a non-profit organization, created in 1995 on the initiative of the Belgian Entertainment Association (BEA), the Belgian member organization of the International Federation of the Phonographic Industry. Abd al Malik, born Régis Fayette-Mikano is a French rapper and spoken word artist of Congolese origin. He has also authored books in French, and directed a film adaptation of one of his books. Musical career In NAP: New African Poets Talented in words and music, he formed with his brother Bilal and his cousin Aissa, a rap group they called New African Poets, also known by the abbreviation N.A.P. Other members included Mustapha, Mohammed and Karim, all from the neighborhood where he lived. Most of the group come from the Neuhof quartier of Strasbourg. Having converted from Christianity to Islam, he took on the stage name Abd al Malik. Shtar Academy (also known as Shtar Ac) is a French hip hop collective that started in a prison, consisting of rappers Badri, Malik and Mirak, who served sentences of varying periods for different charges. It was founded in 2012 as a result of a pilot project at the Aix-en-Provence Prison in Luynes, Bouches-du-Rhône. Sadek Bourguiba (born 25 May 1991), known by the mononym Sadek (), is a French rapper from Neuilly-Plaisance, also known by aliases Johnny Niuuum and Sadek Niuum. He was signed to Hostile Records.
