	Alex Forsyth (American Football) Alexander Forsyth (born February 13, 1999) is an American football center for the Denver Broncos of the National Football League (NFL). He played college football at Oregon. Early years Forsyth was born on February 13, 1999, in West Linn, Oregon. He played football at West Linn High School, where he was named first-team all-state as a junior and senior. A three-star recruit, Forsyth committed to play college football at Oregon. College career Forsyth redshirted his first year at Oregon in 2017. He appeared in five games in both of the following seasons, seeing action at right guard, right tackle and left guard. He became a full-time starter in 2020, starting at center all seven games in the COVID-19 pandemic-shortened season. 	Alex Forsyth (footballer, Born 1952) Alexander Forsyth (born 5 February 1952) is a Scottish former footballer who played as a right-back. Born in Swinton, Lanarkshire, he played for Partick Thistle, Manchester United, Rangers, Motherwell, Hamilton Academical, Queen of the South and Blantyre Victoria. Career Forsyth began his football career in 1967 as a member of the Arsenal ground staff. However, he was released at the end of the season and returned to Scotland, where he signed for Partick Thistle. In 1971, Forsyth was a member of the Thistle team that won both the Scottish First Division and the Scottish League Cup, beating Celtic 4–1 in the final on 23 October 1971. His performances during the 1971–72 season earned him a selection for the Scottish League XI for their game against The Football League XI on 15 March 1972, and also attracted the eye of Scotland manager Tommy Docherty, who gave Forsyth his first cap against Yugoslavia on 29 June 1972. picture info	Alexander John Forsyth Alexander John Forsyth (28 December 1768 – 11 June 1843) was a Scottish Church of Scotland minister who first successfully used fulminating (or 'detonating') chemicals to prime gunpowder in fire-arms thereby creating what became known as percussion ignition. Life He was born in the manse at Belhelvie the son of Rev James Forsyth (d.1790), and his wife, Isabella Syme. He studied at King's College, Aberdeen graduating MA in 1786. He succeeded his father as minister of his home town in 1791. Forsyth took out a British patent for locks utilising fulminates in 1807. Despite the patent being in force, several British gunsmiths, most notably Joseph Manton, invented other forms of detonating gunlocks ignition in order to evade Forsyth's patent, which would not expire until 1821. Forsyth continually protected his patent between 1807 and 1821 in Britain with legal action.
