Alex Carter (born 7 May 1982 in Oldham, Greater Manchester) is an English actor and writer, mostly known for his roles as Jamie Hope in ''Emmerdale'' and Lee Hunter in ''Hollyoaks''. Early life Carter's brother Bruce is in a band called The Whip and both Carters attended the Blue Coat School, Oldham. A lifelong fan of Oldham Athletic A.F.C., Carter presented the Saturday afternoon sports programme ''Latics Live'' on The Revolution between 2008–2011. Life and career After playing Greeny in CITV show Adam's Family Tree, in 1999 Carter was cast as Craig Harrison in Sunday evening drama '' Where the Heart Is''. Alex Carter (born Alex Apostolopoulos; November 12, 1964) is a Canadian television and film actor. Early life Carter was born Alex Apostolopoulos in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. He attended Lawrence Park Collegiate Institute as well as Wexford Collegiate Institute and was quite involved with the Wexford C.I. football team. He lived in the Wexford community of Toronto (Scarborough)and attended Wexford Public School. Alex finished high school and, then left for Hollywood where he studied at the Beverly Hills Playhouse. Alex Carter (cornerback)
Alexander Rhys Carter (born October 19, 1994) is a former American football cornerback. He was drafted by the Detroit Lions in the third round of the 2015 NFL Draft. He played cornerback in college football at Stanford. High school career Carter attended Briar Woods High School in Ashburn, Virginia, where he recorded over 1,000 all-purpose yards and 50 tackles with five interceptions (one returned for touchdown) as a senior. He helped lead his team to a 12–1 record and a win in the state championship game. He was named Virginia's 2011 Gatorade Player of the Year, and was selected to play in the 2012 U.S. Army All-American Bowl in San Antonio, Texas. Carter also lettered in track & field at Briar Woods, competing during his junior year running the 100 meters, 4x100 and the long jump (6.62m or 21-7). Alexander Carter (16 April 1909 – 17 February 2002) was a Canadian bishop, who served as head of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Sault Sainte Marie, Ontario from 1958 to 1985. Biography Born in Montreal, Quebec, the brother of Cardinal Gerald Emmett Carter, he was ordained a priest in 1936. From 1958 to 1985, he was the bishop of Sault Sainte Marie.
