Alessandria
Alessandria (; pms, Lissandria ) is a city and ''comune'' in Piedmont, Italy, and the capital of the Province of Alessandria. The city is sited on the alluvial plain between the Tanaro and the Bormida rivers, about east of Turin. Alessandria is also a major railway hub. History Alessandria was founded in 1168 with a charter as a free comune; it was sited upon a preexisting urban nucleus, to serve as a stronghold for the Lombard League, defending the traditional liberties of the communes of northern Italy against the Imperial forces of Frederick Barbarossa. Alessandria stood in the territories of the marchese of Montferrat, a staunch ally of the Emperor, with a name assumed in 1168 to honour the Emperor's opponent, Pope Alexander III. In 1174–1175 the fortress was sorely tested by the Imperial siege and stood fast. Alessandria della Rocca ( Sicilian: ''Lisciànnira di la Rocca'') is a '' comune'' and small agricultural town located in the northern part of the Province of Agrigento, west central Sicily, southern Italy. The remains of the 14th century Castello della Pietra d'Amico can be found about away from the town. The town itself was founded in 1570 by Don Carlo Blasco Barresi, and was initially called Pietra d'Amico after the castle. A meteorite fall, also called an observed fall, is a meteorite collected after its fall from outer space was observed by people or automated devices. Any other meteorite is called a " find". Lucas Ramón Alessandría (born 5 April 1978) is an Argentine football defender currently playing for Unión de Santa Fe in Argentina. He has played club football for several clubs in Argentina and Spain. Alessandría started his professional career with Club Atlético Lanús in 1997.
