David Aldous is an English actor and broadcaster. He has appeared in TV series, such as ''The Bill'' and ''Casualty (TV series), Casualty'', and in the film ''Loved Up''. He has also presented the programmes ''In Depth'' for GOD TV and ''Passages of Life'' for Premier Christian Radio. David Aldous
David John Aldous FRS (born 13 July 1952) is a mathematician known for his research on probability theory and its applications, in particular in topics such as exchangeability, weak convergence, Markov chain mixing times, the continuum random tree and stochastic coalescence. He entered St John's College, Cambridge, in 1970 and received his Ph.D. at the University of Cambridge in 1977 under his advisor, D. J. H. Garling. Aldous was on the faculty at University of California, Berkeley from 1979 until his retirement in 2018. He was awarded the Rollo Davidson Prize in 1980, the Loève Prize in 1993, and was elected a fellow of the Royal Society in 1994. In 2004, Aldous was elected a fellow of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences. From 2004 to 2010, Aldous was an Andrew Dickson White Professor-at-Large at Cornell University. Georgie James Aldous (born 5 July 1998) is a British social activist, model, entrepreneur, YouTuber and influencer. In 2017 he became the first male beauty model for Superdrug, New Look and Primark, after launching a petition in 2016 to get more men on British make-up campaigns. Early life and education Aldous was born in Great Yarmouth, Norfolk, England and attended Ormiston Venture Academy. Lucette Aldous
Lucette Aldous (26 September 1938 – 5 June 2021) was an Australian prima ballerina during her performing years. She was the resident principal dancer with The Australian Ballet, and well known for performing the role of Kitri in the film of Rudolf Nureyev's production of ''Don Quixote'', receiving many honours for her years of performance including being appointed AC in the 2018 Australia Day Honours list. Early life Lucette Aldous was born in Auckland, New Zealand, in September 1938 and moved to Perth, Western Australia, when she was four months old. Montague Aldous
Montague Aldous (September 30, 1850 – May 25, 1946) was a Dominion Topographical Surveyor from Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island. He was a participant in foundation surveys of the Northwest Territories. He was associated with A.L. Russell in 1877 in a survey west to the third meridian. In 1878 he subdivided Prince Albert, Saskatchewan. Taken on Special Survey in 1879, he surveyed the fourth meridian to a point north of Lloydminster, Alberta/Saskatchewan, then ran in the 14th base line west to Stony Plain where it intersected the 5th meridian. His assistant, Charles Alexander Magrath, was later the first mayor of Lethbridge, Northwest Territories (now Alberta). In 1880 Aldous surveyed the fifth meridian south to Waterton Lakes. He spent the rest of the summer in southern Alberta's Porcupine Hills, then being taken up for ranching. Sir William Aldous (17 March 1936 – 17 March 2018) was an English judge and a judge in the Gibraltar Court of Appeal. Biography Born in Suffolk, Aldous was the son of barrister Guy Aldous QC and his wife, Gill Henson, daughter of Gino Henson, MFH, Master of the Blankney Hunt. Growing up in East Anglia, Aldous was a keen and eager huntsman from an early age. His father was MFH of the Essex and Suffolks, a responsibility that he passed onto Willie Aldous in 1970. He ceased hunting for real in 1976 to rejoin a serious career as a London barrister. Aldous Leonard Huxley ( ; 26 July 1894 – 22 November 1963) was an English writer and philosopher. His bibliography spans nearly 50 books, including non-fiction novel, non-fiction works, as well as essays, narratives, and poems. Born into the prominent Huxley family, he graduated from Balliol College, Oxford, with a degree in English literature.
