Al Bidda Station
Al Bidda station is an interchange station between the Doha Metro's Green Line and the Red Line located in Al Bidda Park in the Al Bidda district. The station also serves Mushayrib, Fereej Bin Mahmoud, Rumeilah and Al Jasrah districts in Qatar's municipality of Ad Dawhah. The station currently has no metrolinks. Al Bidda Park
Al Bidda Park, formerly known as Al Rumaila Park, is a park located on Corniche Street in Doha, Qatar next to Qatar National Theater. It is near Doha Bay, overlooks the Doha Corniche and is one of the earliest and most popular parks in Doha. It is also a popular area for birdwatching. The park includes a children's playground, small shops, a cultural village, and a cultural heritage center. The park was created in the 1990s. The Green Line, also known as the Education Line, is a rapid transit line of the Doha Metro in Qatar's capital city of Doha. Opened to the public on 10 December 2019, it runs east to west, beginning at Al Mansoura (Doha), Al Mansoura and terminating at the Al Riffa station on Dukhan Highway in Rawdat Al Jahhaniya. Al Bidda
Al Bidda () is a neighborhood of Doha, Qatar. In the 19th century It was the largest town in Qatar, before Doha, an offshoot of Al Bidda, grew in prominence. Al Bidda was incorporated as a district in the Doha municipality in the late 20th century. Qatar's Amiri Diwan (Presidential Office) has been based in Al Bidda since 1915, after being converted from an abandoned Ottoman fort. Etymology ''Bidda'' is derived from the Arabic word ''badaa'', meaning "to invent". When the previously uninhabited area first became populated, a settlement was essentially invented, hence the name. Mushayrib (; also spelled Musheireb) is a Qatari district located in the municipality of Ad Dawhah. As of the 2010 census, the former district of Al Asmakh has been integrated into Mushayrib. It is one of the oldest districts of Doha, and contains Al Kahraba Street (also called Electricity Street), the country's first fully lit street. History In J. G. Lorimer's '' Gazetteer of the Persian Gulf'' first published in 1908, Mushayrib was described as a place where the town of Al Bidda obtained its water supply from, but described the water as brackish and scanty. Fereej Bin Mahmoud
Fereej Bin Mahmoud () is a neighborhood of Doha, Qatar. It is one of the older multipurpose districts, with an active business scene and relatively large housing market. Located in Doha's downtown area, next to the historic district of Mushayrib, the area underwent considerable development in the 1970s. At 1.8 km2, it is a relatively large district compared to neighboring districts, and is well-connected to Doha's road network, through C Ring Road and Salwa Road. Rumeilah (; also spelled Rumaila) is a neighborhood of Doha, Qatar. It is divided into an eastern and western section. Zone 11, the eastern section, hosts roughly half of Al Bidda Park while Zone 21 contains most of Hamad Medical Corporation's facilities. Al Jasrah () is a district in Qatar, located in the municipality of Ad Dawhah. It hosts Souq Waqif, one of the largest souqs in Qatar. Since 2015, Qatar has been divided into eight Municipality, municipalities.
