Al-Qaeda–Islamic State Conflict
The Al-Qaeda–Islamic State conflict is an ongoing armed conflict between Al-Qaeda and its allied groups, and the Islamic State. Background On 8 April 2013, Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, leader of the Islamic State of Iraq, released an audio statement in which he claimed that the Islamic State of Iraq, and Al-Nusra Front, two Al-Qaeda affiliated groups, were merging into one group called the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant. Abu Mohammad al-Julani, the leader of al-Nusra Front, and Ayman al-Zawahiri, the leader of Al-Qaeda, both rejected the merger. Al-Julani claimed that he and all the other al-Nusra leaders had never gave permission to Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi to merge the groups. Ayman al-Zawahiri wrote a letter to both Al-Julani and al-Baghdadi, who were both under his command at the time, in which he stated that he does not permit them to merge. War Against The Islamic State

Ansar Al-Sharia (Libya)
Ansar al-Sharia in Libya (ASL, ) was an Al-Qaeda-aligned Salafi Jihadist militia group that advocated the implementation of Sharia across Libya. Ansar al-Sharia came into being in 2011, during the Libyan Civil War. Until January 2015, it was led by its "Amir", Muhammad al-Zahawi. As part of its strategy, the organization targeted specific Libyan and American civilians for death and took part in the 2012 Benghazi attack. Ansar al-Sharia (Mali) ( Partisans of Islamic Law) is a radical Islamist group that operates in the Azawad region of Mali. Background Following the Azawad insurgency in 2012, the northern region of Mali achieved de facto independence from the Mali central government, with the region taken over by a number of Islamist groups including Ansar Dine, Movement for Oneness and Jihad in West Africa and Al-Qaeda in the Islamic Maghreb. The Lashkar al-Zil (Urdu: لشکر الضل; the Shadow Army), also known as Jaish al-Usrah, or the Army of the Protective Shield, is a paramilitary organization linked to al-Qaeda and descended from the 055 Brigade. Ansaru
The Vanguard for the Protection of Muslims in Black Africa ( '), better known as Ansaru and less commonly called al-Qaeda in the Lands Beyond the Sahel, is an Islamic fundamentalist Jihadist militant organisation originally based in the northeast of Nigeria. Originally a faction of Boko Haram, the group announced in 2012 that it had pledged allegiance to al-Qaeda and was independent. Despite this, Ansaru and other Boko Haram factions continued to work closely together until the former increasingly declined and stopped its insurgent activities in 2013. Ansar Ghazwat-ul-Hind () was an al-Qaeda-affiliated Islamist jihadist militant group it was active in Kashmir. Jama'at Ansar al-Shari'a (; '), also known as Ansar al-Shari'a, is a Yemen-based umbrella organization which includes units from several militant Islamic groups of al-Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula (AQAP).
