Chicago VII
''Chicago VII'' is the sixth studio album by American Rock music, rock band Chicago (band), Chicago. It was released on March 11, 1974 by Columbia Records. It is notable for being their first double album of new material since 1971's ''Chicago III'' and remains their final studio release in that format. It features session percussionist Laudir de Oliveira, who would become a full-fledged band member for the release of ''Chicago VIII'' the following year. Background While touring in support of ''Chicago VI'' in 1973, the band began getting restless and started integrating some lengthy jazz instrumentals into their sets. While audiences' reactions varied, Chicago greatly enjoyed the experience, decided (after years of talking about it) to record a pure jazz-influenced set of tracks, and headed straight to producer James William Guercio's Caribou Ranch studios to cut their ambitious new album. Aire River (Victoria)
The Aire River is a perennial river of the Lake Corangamite, Corangamite catchment, located in the Otway Ranges, Otways region of the Australian state of Victoria (Australia), Victoria. Location and features The Aire River rises below the Otway Ranges in a remote State forest, forestry area southeast of the locality of . The river generally flows west by south then south through the Great Otway National Park, joined by three minor tributaries, before reaching its Mouth (river), mouth and emptying into Bass Strait west of Cape Otway. The river descends over its watercourse, course; including a descent over the Hopetoun Falls in its upper reaches, located at an elevation of Australian Height Datum, above sea level. The river is traversed by the Great Ocean Road and the Great Ocean Walk near the river's mouth. It was named by the surveyor George Smythe after the River Aire in Yorkshire, England. The War of the Spanish Succession was a European great power conflict fought between 1701 and 1714. The immediate cause was the death of the childless Charles II of Spain in November 1700, which led to a struggle for control of the Spanish Empire between supporters of the French House of Bourbon, Bourbons and the Austrian House of Habsburg, Habsburgs.
