Allan Marshall (RAF Officer)
Air Marshal Allan Paul Marshall, is a senior Royal Air Force officer, who since March 2024 has been Air and Space Commander. Early life and education Marshall studied engineering at Pembroke College, Cambridge, graduating from the University of Cambridge with a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree. RAF career Marshall was commissioned into the Royal Air Force (RAF) on 2 September 1991 with the rank of acting pilot officer. Having completed an in-service degree, he was re-graded as a pilot officer on 15 July 1994. He was promoted to flying officer on 15 January 1995 with seniority in that rank from 15 July 1992. Chief of the Air Staff (CAS) is the title of the professional head of the Royal Air Force, who is a member of both the Chiefs of Staff Committee and the Air Force Board. Richard Garwood
Air Marshal Sir Richard Frank Garwood, (born 10 January 1959) is a retired senior Royal Air Force officer. He was appointed Deputy Commander-in-Chief (Operations) at RAF Air Command in April 2010, initially on an acting basis – having served for less than a year as Chief of Staff (Operations) – following the reassignment of Air Marshal Tim Anderson as Director General of the new Military Aviation Authority, and pending the appointment of Air Marshal Andrew Pulford.
