Campolongo Al Torre
Campolongo al Torre () is a former ''comune'' of the Province of Udine in the Italian region Friuli-Venezia Giulia, located about 40 km northwest of Trieste and about 25 km southeast of Udine. Since 2009 it has been one of the two principal centres of Campolongo Tapogliano, a municipality formed by its merger with the former ''comune'' of Tapogliano. History Ancient era The lands near Campolongo appear to have been settled dating back to Roman times. The first mention dates to the nearby town of Tapogliano. Gravestones, bearing Latin inscriptions which indicate that name of the nearby town derives from the Latin "Tappulius (Tappulus)", a possible Roman assignee of these lands. Enzo Bearzot
Enzo Bearzot (; 26 September 1927 – 21 December 2010) was an Italian professional football player and manager. A defender and midfielder in his playing career, he also coached the Italy national team to victory in the 1982 FIFA World Cup. Nicknamed ''Vecio'' (standard Italian ''vecchio'', 'old man'), Bearzot coached the Italy national team the most (104 times, between September 1975 to June 1986).
