Aidan O'Brien (football Manager)
Aidan O'Brien is a Gaelic football manager. He coached the Wexford county football team, Wexford county team. Early life He is originally a native of County Westmeath, He later moved to Adamstown, County Wexford. Career He was first approached to manage Wexford in 2007 after Paul Bealin resigned, but turned down the offer. He became the Wexford senior manager after Jason Ryan (Gaelic footballer), Jason Ryan vacated the position. He held the position from October 2012 until August 2014, reaching the Leinster Senior Football Championship semi-finals on both occasions. He works as a teacher at St Augustine's and Good Counsel College, New Ross, Good Counsel College in New Ross and coached them to Hogan Cup, All-Ireland Colleges Senior football success. Gaelic Football
Gaelic football (; short name '')'', commonly known as simply Gaelic, GAA, or football, is an Irish team sport. A form of football, it is played between two teams of 15 players on a rectangular grass pitch. The objective of the sport is to score by kicking or palming the ball into the other team's Goal (sport), goal (3 points) or between two upright posts above the goal and over a crossbar above the ground (1 point). Players advance the ball up the field with a combination of carrying, bouncing, kicking, hand-passing, and soloing (dropping the ball and then toe-kicking the ball upward into the hands). The Wexford Senior Football Championship is an annual Gaelic football competition contested by top-tier Wexford GAA clubs. David Power (Gaelic Footballer)
David Power (born 1983) is an Irish Gaelic football manager. He managed the Tipperary county team from 2019, having previously managed Wexford. In 2020, he led Tipperary to a first Munster Senior Football Championship title for 85 years. Career Born in Kilsheelan, County Tipperary, Power played for the Kilsheelan–Kilcash club. Power went on to become involved in team management and coaching. An All-Ireland-winning manager with Tipperary in the minor grade, he has also taken charge of the Tipperary under-21 and junior teams. Leinster Under-21 Football Championship
The Leinster GAA Football Under-20 Championship, known simply as the Leinster Under-20 Championship, is an annual inter-county Gaelic football competition organised by the Leinster Council of the Gaelic Athletic Association (GAA). It is the highest inter-county football competition for male players between the ages of 17 and 20 in the province of Leinster. The championship was contested as the Leinster Under-21 Championship between 1964 and 2016 before changing to an under-20 age category from 2018. It is sponsored by EirGrid. Horeswood GAA is a Gaelic Athletic Association club in County Wexford, Ireland. The club fields teams in Gaelic football, hurling, camogie and Ladies Gaelic football, and participates in competitions organized by Wexford GAA county board. Hogan Cup
The Hogan Cup (), also known as the All-Ireland Post Primary Schools Senior A Football Championship, is the top level Gaelic football championship for secondary schools (sometimes referred to as colleges) in Ireland. The competition itself is regularly referred to by the trophy's name. The current champions are St Patrick's College, Maghera, who won the cup for the sixth time by defeating St Colman's College in the final. St Jarlath's College, Tuam hold the record number of titles, winning their twelfth in 2002, and have appeared as runners-up in a further fourteen finals.
