Ahmed Moustafa Hussein (; born 25 May 1983) is an Egyptian former swimmer who specialized in backstroke events. He is a two-time Olympian, and a three-time All-American swimmer for the Arizona State Sun Devils at Arizona State University in Tempe, Arizona, where he majored in and graduated with a bachelor's degree in civil engineering. Hussein made his first Egyptian team at the 2000 Summer Olympics in Sydney, where he competed in the men's 200 m backstroke. Swimming in heat two, he edged out Singapore's Gary Tan to earn a fifth spot and thirty-sixth overall by 0.22 of a second in 2:06.10. At the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens, Hussein extended his program by qualifying for two swimming events. Ahmed Hussen (; born 1976) is a Canadian lawyer and politician. A member of the Liberal Party, Hussen has also sat as the Member of Parliament (MP) for the Toronto-area riding of York South—Weston since the 2015 federal election. He previously served as the Minister of International Development from 2023 to 2025, Minister of Housing, Diversity and Inclusion from 2021 to 2023, Minister of families, children and social development from 2019 to 2021 and the minister of immigration, refugees and citizenship from 2017 to 2019. Nawab Sir Ahmed Hussain, Amin Jung Bahadur, KCIE, CSI, LLD ( Osmania), MA, BL (Madras) was born in Madras on 11 August 1863 in the family of a leading businessman. Life In 1893, he visited Hyderabad (Nizam's Dominion now in Telangana, India) to appear in the Nizam's High court in a civil suit. Ahmed Hussain Macan Markar (27 April 1911 - 15 July 1985) was a Ceylonese (Sri Lankan) lawyer, politician and philanthropist. He was a former Member of parliament and a deputy mayor of Colombo. Born to Sir Mohamed Macan Markar, he was educated at the Royal College Colombo, he gained a B.A. and an LL.B. from the University of Cambridge and qualified as a barrister. Moving into politics in Macan Markar, entered the Colombo Municipal Council where he was a member for 20 years where he served as the deputy mayor. Later he was elected to parliament from the Kalkudah and later Batticaloa seats. Ahmed Hussain Shah is a Pakistani politician who had been a member of the Provincial Assembly of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa from March 2019 till January 2023. Political career Shah started his political career with Pakistan Peoples Party. His father Muzammil Shah was also a senior politician and was a close aide to PPP founder Zulfikar Ali Bhutto. He first won provincial assembly seat in the 2008 general elections and remained Provincial Minister for Industry and Commerce in Awami National Party's coalition government. He lost next two general elections, 2013 and 2018, consecutively, both as a candidate of the PPP. He then joined the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) after the disqualification of Pakistan Muslim League (N) (PML(N)) MPA Mian Zia ur Rehman.
